I think it's funny that they seem to be trying to be ironic with the colouring and the choice of version-specific pokemon.

Other than that, I think Reshiram isn't too bad. If all I'm getting from White is a Palkia knock-off, I'll just play Pearl instead. IMHO, I quite liked Dialga's moveset. Roar of Time was a kick-ass move.

I planned on getting White, and my brother getting Black.

I'm semi-sorta reconsidering though, with the legendary reveal... Zekrom is badass, but Reshiram might be more my thing.

Also, quick note: Reshiram is a white dragon with blue eyes. Zekrom is a black dragon with red eyes.

EDIT: Also gonna come out and say the obvious. Angel and Demon pokemon. Those worrying about where this next generation is going...

If it's angel/demon pokemon, then demon is the way to go.
Bad guys were always much more of a badass.

They don't look that bad to me, at least I like these over Dialga and Palkia from Pearl and Diamond. Hopefully they don't make too many legendaries this time around, they already made a God pokemon. That being said, if the designs are superior to the last couple of generations, I probably get White.

Zekrom (the black one I think) looks so typical if that's the right word. There are just so many creatures of different games/anime/etc with a design very much like it, but I suppose it must be popular then.

Reshy looks like a DNA splice of a chicken, a dragon and a wolf. I quite like it for some reason. I reckon it would be the faster of the 2. Dunno what is up with the feathery tuft between it's legs...

Black's looks better, but White's isn't all that bad.

I'll have to wait and see what the other pokemon look like. My bet is that they'll look insanely silly.

Unless the Designers are having a change, because of the new region, i heard they are going to be alot more exotic because the Ishuu region is tropical (hence the grass starter...a Skink)

I've loved Pokemon since it came out. And when I hear people complaining about how silly the new pokemon look, I wonder what they think of the genetically altered cat fetus that is Mewtwo. Or the dragon bird whose wings kinda double as hands. Both among my favourites, but really... What exactly are people looking for in pokemon design?

Zekrom looks like a badass, but Reshiram looks completely unimposing - once again it seems Game Freak have gone down the same route as their previous 'softer' legendaries. Whilst Zekrom is a step in the right direction, harking back to the days of RBY when Mewtwo was the true physical manifestation of the word 'legendary', Reshiram is more of a Shaymin-and-Celebi-esque legendary who doesn't particularly warrant such high status.

Well definitely be White for me.

I think most people here are being too critical.

You can be white, fluffy and still gain some notoriety. No doubt the Pokemon world will go down the path of one being evil and one being good - no prizes to where - but I would like them for once to throw a curveball and have the white be good-evil and black to be evil-good.

You know. Just to watch the reactions of people who bought White for the looks of Zekrom and finds that it's a Celebi or Mew.
