Is it true that Zekrom (the black stone dragon thing) is going to be on the cover for White?

Meh, not bad. Both kinda look the same though.

Much better then the disappointing starters.

Reshiram (Black) looks a lot cooler. I was getting Black anyway to a) convince people I'm not a racist and b) to reflect the inner colors of my soul.

I'm glad that these actually look pretty cool unlike the starters.

I gave up on Pokemon a long time ago.

I probably wont be buying black and white.

Ugh, I hate this outdated notion that pokemon is about "catching them all". It seems the older generation of pokemon players don't understand the joy of building a team of six pokemon and battling to achieve the glory of victory. To develop ingenious strategies to take down both in-game and real life opponents.

Why anyone bothers to "catch them all" is beyond me. Yes, the professor giving you a certificate is completely worth the hours of breeding, training, and trading needed to EVERY pokemon.

Pokemon are like guns. Would you rather collect them or USE THEM?

so what's their "dominion" ? Is it Light and Darkness and team going to try and disrupt the balance for.... some reason or the other?

That's what's really bugging me!
I could wager a guess that it's a nefarious Team Yin and Team Yan, thinking that the other extreme is what's holding the world back so they must capture the legendary of their choosing to course the world in to perpetual light/darkness.

Yeah, I also miss the days when we had crime syndicates and not cults.

OP: I'm getting a little tired of Legendaries on the cover, seeing how you can only catch one of them and then trade. But they do look neat.

I already know I'm getting Black. (it's been that way with my little brother since Gold/Silver, I go with the warm color. Despite my first game being blue, which is awesome.) Which is ok, because the Legendary for White kinda looks like our last two mascot legendaries. Like they're pals or something... still neat though.

I never got pokémon. We started out with 150, which is well enough. Then suddenly, hundreds and hundreds of new pokémons appear. Where did they come from? Were they just hiding under a rock waiting for a new release? Did some scientist create them?

And all these legendary pokémons. Mew (And Mewtwo) was the 'most powerful shit evar', then comes the second deck. And the third. And the fourth. Legendary pokémons for everyone! Yay!

They are an improvement over Diamond and Pearl, but they both have similarities to some of the already existing stuff. If I end up buying a 3DS, I'll get one of the games (I think it's only for 3DS, at least from the older announcements I've seen).

Well seeing how last generation gave us the PokeGod Arceus http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Arceus_(Pok%C3%A9mon)

The PokeWorld has become Rome or Greece, We've got gods for everything!

I miss the day when the Legendary Birds were relevant and we had Science make our Legendaries. Where's Mewtwo been these days? Is he still sleeping in that cave?

I've loved Pokemon since it came out. And when I hear people complaining about how silly the new pokemon look, I wonder what they think of the genetically altered cat fetus that is Mewtwo. Or the dragon bird whose wings kinda double as hands. Both among my favourites, but really... What exactly are people looking for in pokemon design?
More of the same but also different. Which is why they'll always complain at first. I thought the new Pokemon in the other generations were funny looking, but I've still got my favorites. Besides who doesn't like a good Pterodactyl or Genetic, Alien thing as a Pokemon.

Least they weren't gods though.

I am not impressed. Not that the pokemon look bad (the Black one looks pretty sweet), but with the title "Legendary"....They've already made a God pokemon, how much more powerful can it get?
This is precisely how I feel. I mean, they started with "Legendaries are strong" then went to "Legendaries control the elements" until finally "Legendaries control space, time, alternate dimensions, and EVERYTHING". Unless these two can control Arceus, then the Pokemon Company has backed itself into a bit of a corner. Not a large one, mind you.
What corner? Why are people complaining that, just because of Arceus, any legendary from this point on is pointless because it might not be on Arceus' level?
Legendary Pokemon are, like you said, either strong, symbolic, or have control over something (or, you know, are rare/limited). Just because there is now a "God" Pokemon does not mean that any legendary henceforth is in its shadow, in a corner, or pointless.

With that being said, I actually like these two legendaries. It is actually the first time where I didn't come up with a clear decision on 'which box-art Pokemon is the best.' (but at this point, I will probably be going with White version)

Due to Isshu being a more modern/technological society, Zekrom's metallic looking structure can represent maybe artificial creation. Reshiram looks to be more organic in design.
Unlike previous generations, there is going to be more of a difference between the two versions than exclusive Pokemon, whatever that means. Also, they are confirmed to both be half dragon-type. Probably going to be Psychic/Dragon and Dark or Steel/Dragon.

But that doesn't mean that these aren't awesome.
What corner did they back themselves into? They don't need to top Arceus. They can easily go back to the roots of Legendaries being awesome, rare, one of a kind, powerful Pokemon without making them create something. At least, that's what I hope will happen..

I really wish they didn't alternate Black and White legendaries. I was going to get the black version but now I have to get the white version to get the black Legendary? This is too confusing. What happened to keeping it simple. Ruby is Fire Groudon. Sapphire is Water Kyogre. Pearl is pink Dragon. Diamond is blue dragon.
It's not that they need to top Arceus, it's just kind of funny that they just kept moving in the direction of "what's bigger and mightier than the previous guy" and now need to take a new direction. Again, it's only a minor problem, and more of a philosophical one at that. I actually am looking forward to what they do with these newcomers in terms of background and storyline.

Also, it's my avatar on TF2!
Whats your TF 2 name? (or steam name) I might have played with you, also what part of the movie....or show...or game or whatever Stand Alone Complex is (I know it IS a game but I dont know if its a movie or TV show also)

The black one looks exactly like Palkia. And the white one has a... thing between its legs. I honestly don't know if I like them or hate them.

There is a manga, 2 movies, 2 anime series and 2 games.
The move "Ghost in the Shell" came first. It's an anime classic. There is also a game based on the movie.
The first series; Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex came next, and the game shortly after. The next series Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG was then made followed by the second movie; Ghost in the Shell: Innocence.
My avatar is the laughing man's signature symbol/emblem. The laughing man is the main villan/antagonist/guy-who-the-characters-are-looking-for in the first series.

I was thinking of getting one of these versions... I haven't bought a pokemon game since Yellow... But I did play through a few of the others... (Crystal and FireRed that is).
I think I'll probably pick up Black cause is it just me that is getting kinda weirded out by the big feathery thing poking out of between Reshiram's legs?
