I rarely ever evolve my Eevees. I just EV Train them (no pun intended) and they generally kick some serious ass.

Does anyone else train butterfree and beedrill? I mean everyone gets a caterpie and weedle at the start but usually i don't see them get far past metapod and kukuna. I dunno i always train the hell out of those. I think i had a beedrill that was lvl 62 last time i played poke'mon... God i need to get and old GBC and play those games... or maybe just get poke'mon black/white.

I used a Girafarig in Diamond all the way up to the Elite 4.

My Jolteon could take down ANYTHING, even ground pokemon. Double Kick FTW. I also trained a Jynx as my anti-Dragon pokemon in Red. If I remember correctly, the team was Jolteon, Blastoise, Golem, Gengar, Jynx and Alakazam. They were pretty badass.
I think I also tried to train a Porygon at one point, just to see what it could do. IIRC, didn't work out too well.

I never did, until I found a shiny Weedle. I evolved it to Beedrill and I used it for quite some time. It's green!rayen020 said:

I don't see a lot of some of those, but I know other people have them. I don't really mess around with IV or EV training, and so far it hasn't led to any issues. I do, however, have an EV trained Gengar that ruins days left and right.
When I fought my friends on yellow, I found that they were only using elemental types. As a result, I made an entire team of normal type pokemon featuring a Chansey with ridiculous hitpoints and a Raticate (worth it for hyperfang). A team that would get thrashed by AI trainers, but against my friends they won.

He's a big ol' Gyarados now, and I feel so much better having trained him up that high from level 6. Worth the wait.

I used Misdreavus and Primeape on my HG game. And on my current run of Platinum I'm using Luxray, Floatzel, Gardevoir, Glaceon, Lucario and Absol. That's right, no starter.
My Sandstorm party contains some obvious ones and one not so obvious one. Tyranitar, Metagross, Rypherior, Magnezone, Garchomp and a shiny Quagsire (it was a Shiny Wooper when I caught it). I think Shiny Wooper/Quagsire is the most unusual one i ever trained... Either that or Trubbish in the new ones...
