Hmmm... I might have to say Charizard. Though I have always had a special love for Ninetails and Typhlosion as well.
I always felt that after the first addition of new pokemon, the franchise felt a bit milked. It was easy to see copies of older generations being put back into the mix, and lots of the creature designs kinda went south.

Snorlax. One of the most malleable characters, very strong, and has huge HP. I always wield dual Snorlax's in the Pokemon games.

For cuteness I'd have to say Abra, Dratini or Cyndaquil. Awesomeness goes to Haunter, and Mewtwo wins the Badassery Award. Hands down.
My preferred element is a tie between Ghost, Psychic and Dragon.

Vulpix/Ninetails or Charmeleon. Funny, my sister was watching a Pokemon movie (fourth one, I think) and I started pointing out the plot holes and making Suicune talk like an idiot. Oh, Sandslash is awesome too.

EDIT: DRAGONITE. I have a lvl. 100 in Diamond, and it knows this kick-ass move called Draco Meteor. I haven't played that game in so long...

EDIT EDIT: I like all the Eevee eveloutions, but Flareon is my fave. Quilava is cute, and Blaziken is a SIX FOOT KUNG-FU CHICKEN. There is no comparison. Arcanine and Growlithe- Okay, I just really like fire types, I guess... :D

I wanna be the very best, like no one ever was

btw I've always loved Squirtle
name another pokemon that wears sunglasses!
Gotta agree with you, nothing can touch the Squirtle Squad.
This for truth. That and Squirtle evolves into Blastoise with some badass hydro cannons

seriously, piplup? darakai (or whatever its called) i don't accept anything beyond the gold/silver generation. my favourite would have to be nidoking. in the old games, as soon as i caught a nidoran i would ditch my starter.

I like the first and second generation. It's everything after the second generation that annoys me.

Jeez, there are so many favorites of mine so I'll just divide them into categories

cute: pichu, johto starters, mareep, bellossom, basically the little pokemon

pretty: cresselia, gardevoir, leafeon (for some reason the leaves look so cool), glaceon, ninetales, milotic (makes sense)

bad-ass: tyranitar, typhlosion, feraligatr, salamence, garchomp, mewtwo

preferred pokemon type: psychic, even though most have weak physical defense, mewtwo is basically the god pokemon right next to arceus (who can be psychic as well)

my platinum team is pretty bad-ass, although none are lvl 100, and consists of Infernape, Garchomp, Salamence, Gyarados, Electivire, and Lucario (shiny)

Anyways: I like Pikachu. It may look weak, but my level 80 will lick your ass. And when paired with my level 80 Typhlosion, I win against all.
...Onix? How would you fair against a level 80 onix(one that hasn't yet evolved into steelix)? Electric attacks do nothing, he has high physical defense and fire does .5 damage. Maybe mixed in with a Golem or Rhyperior and I couldn't see how you would win that.

Easy. Pikachu can learn Iron Tail, and Typlosion can learn drought, soloarbeam, and earthquake. It would be tough, but I think I would win.
In a two pokemon team battle, doesn't earthquake also harm your partner? How many earthquakes do you think pikachu can take coming from not only the enemy(all of which can learn it) and his own team mate. I don't see pikachu surviving that round.

PS. Drought isn't a move, it's an ability. There are some moves that cause drought, but Typhlosion can't learn any of them. Your best bet would be solarbeam and earthquake. Moves that are rather similar to your opponents defensive capabilities.
