Anyways: I like Pikachu. It may look weak, but my level 80 will lick your ass. And when paired with my level 80 Typhlosion, I win against all.

...Onix? How would you fair against a level 80 onix(one that hasn't yet evolved into steelix)? Electric attacks do nothing, he has high physical defense and fire does .5 damage. Maybe mixed in with a Golem or Rhyperior and I couldn't see how you would win that.

Easy. Pikachu can learn Iron Tail, and Typlosion can learn drought, soloarbeam, and earthquake. It would be tough, but I think I would win.

In a two pokemon team battle, doesn't earthquake also harm your partner? How many earthquakes do you think pikachu can take coming from not only the enemy(all of which can learn it) and his own team mate. I don't see pikachu surviving that round.

PS. Drought isn't a move, it's an ability. There are some moves that cause drought, but Typhlosion can't learn any of them. Your best bet would be solarbeam and earthquake. Moves that are rather similar to your opponents defensive capabilities.

True, but Pikachu will take one earthqauke, than comes the solarbeem. Pikachu will hit with Iron Tail. Also, Typlosion's fire attacks are strong enough to the point where I can slug it out with flamethrower.

PS: Damn, you are right about that. It was....Sunny day! I thought Typlosion could learn that? Or have I just not played with him for a long time?

Ah, but you seem to forget that you would have two opponents who are strong against ground and both know earthquake. Then you are in for a killing trip, also, solarbeam leaves typlosion open, might not strategically be the best idea, and not to mention that all of the opponents I proposed take .5 damage from fire attacks, do you really think flamethrower at half power will be enough to take down other pokemon at equal level with yours? Iron Tail I can't refute, to put it simply "That shit is cash."

ps. Yes, it is sunny day you were thinking about. Of course, sunny day is a waste of a move when you are fighting two tank class enemies that are strong to fire.

You forgot about that Sunny Day will speeden solarbeam to only 1 turn. And If all else fails, I have my Tyranitar/Skamary combo, and will destroy all then!

So, during this I went back to play platinum. I was toting my Empoleon in a battle against Rorack. Roack sent out Tyranitar, Empoleon used Hydro pump. One hit kill...I've never felt that threatened by Tyranitar

Skamory on the other hand is a little asshole(I mean that in the best possible way).

Edit: just remembered, Empoleon's blizzard pretty much annihilates Skarmory.

seriously, piplup? darakai (or whatever its called) i don't accept anything beyond the gold/silver generation. my favourite would have to be nidoking. in the old games, as soon as i caught a nidoran i would ditch my starter.

Yeah, If it was the older Pokemon, I'd go with Vileplume, or however you spell it, it was my first shiny card I ever got.
