The announcement will be made tomorrow, who will recieve the 2016 Olympic games. Will it be Chicago, the one with the highest chance? Rio with the close second? Madrid? Or the Tokyo underdog?

You should have the option, "I don't really give a rats ass!" because that would have been my vote. America has a lot more important shit to worry about than this. This has distraction written all over it.

But it could be an economic boom in what, if current economic trends indicate, would be near the begining of a new recession. Also OLYMPIC FEVOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111111111

I would want to see it in Tokyo, but odds are Chicago. I live so close to Chicago though that I would feel the impact and that upsets me. If I wanted crowds of people all around me constantly, I would just take the leap and move into the city itself.

I want Chicago because if it's there there's a chance I could go see it.

Not Tokyo. It has already been there. Give someone else a chance.

America has had it loaaaaaaaaaads of times, it was at Barcelona once, so I say give the Brazilians a crack.

Where's the "Wooo Vancouver 2010!" option?
It's Canada is the only answer I will provide.

I kid, I love my syrup suckling neighbors to the North. Your accents make Wisconsinites seem normal. I salute you.

Interesting, as this is not a national event like the World Cup, it is a city based bid. So Chicago has never had it. The US has had 3 cities host 4 Olympics over the last 112 years.

1904 - Saint Louis, Missouri
1932 - Los Angeles, California
1984 - Los Angeles, California
1996 - Atlanta, Georgia

So, should Chicago be penalized by Atlanta or Los Angeles?

I do think Rio will get it, but Chicago have a strong bid.

I'll be married with kids by then! *D'oh*
I dunno, I kind of think it'll be in the US again. Darn us for having such a large land mass.

Well Chicago has it now. It isn't that bad because the US spreads it around its cities. Will be Chicago's maiden games.

Ugh, the traffic!. It's bad enough as it is, I can't imagine how the Olympics is going to help.

*narrows eyes*

Darn tourists..

Come to think of it, why couldn't cities like Liverpool or Cardiff build a giant stadium and host it eh?. Why not inconvenience the rest of the country? Grr..

OT: I'll pick Rio though for no particular reason.

I'm dreading the 2012 olympics so i haven't even thought about 2016.
So i'm guess i'm in the last option but without the excitement. I'll care about who ever has it after 2012.
