Nobody's mentioned Dexter's Laboratory yet - I used to love that.

Or Scooby-doo! What's wrong with you people?!

The 90's win.

And:
- The Powerpuff Girls
- Ed Edd n' Eddy, Johnny Bravo
- Courage the Cowardly Dog
- Eek the Cat (especially the affiliated Terrible Thunder Lizards)
- Metabots (whoever mentioned that before: thánk you, I wanted a metabot a gazillion times more than I wanted a Pokémon, robots > weird animals, shows I've always been a nerd)
- Dexter's Lab
- Biker Mice from Mars
- Bobby's World
- The Rugrats (an incredibly fascinating cartoon, the plots were so simple, but seen through the eyes of toddlers they became grand adventures, brilliant)
- Batman: The Animated Series
- X-Men: The Animated Series
- Earthworm Jim
- The Tick
- Darkwing Duck
- Samurai Pizza Cats (probably my favourite cartoon of all time)
- ReBoot
- Rocko's Modern Life
- The Rescue Rangers
- TaleSpin

Is that enough or do I have to go on to prove the dominance of the 90's?

I forgot to post my opinion:

You dare compare the likes of Dexter's Lab, Johnny Bravo, Courage the Cowardly Dog, and Ed, Edd, n' Eddy with the likes of Flapjack and Chowder?

How dare you.
I second this statement!

Ren and Stimpy?
One could keep listing, Cow and Chicken, Angry Beavers, Marsupilami, Timon and Pumba, etc etc etc. The list is grand. I had to stop somewhere you know, or else any 90 opponents might explode from an overdose of awesome.

Fuck that. The 50s had it best. Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, original Disney, etc. Those are arguably the best animated features ever made.
Take that back a decade:
Don't you just love that thickly smeared patriotism? Anyway, about the 40's and 50's, yes it was grand, but it was mostly slapstick. The 80's and 90's however, had a lot more clever cartoons, with deeper layers of humour for more adult viewers, although in the older era's you could always resort to The Flintstones and the likes for that too, but I reckon that especially the 90's had more of that.

PS: I just don't hope posting that gets me in trouble with the mods.

I might as well add
old pokemon: flamethrower vs. razor leaf: flamethrower burns all leaves and hits opponent pokemon.
new pokemon: flamethrower vs. razor leaf: stalemate

it's like they forgot how it is all supposed to work...

I must say 90's cus now adays u can replace any new cartoon with real actors and it wont make a difference (ben 10) no i dont watch that show i just see adds for it every time im on cartoonnetwork. Ed Edd n Eddy thought is the only exception while it was still on as a show that took advantage of it being a cartoon. Now all thats left is anime which is good cus the crazyness of it all is helped by it being animated.

Sure, the 00's had Samurai Jack, and a few other gems. But not enough to make it better.

90's for life, I miss Cat-Dog, Hey Arnold, Rocket Power, and a bunch more that I can't remeber because people discontinued them.

Just about the only 90's cartoon that still regularly plays is Spongebob (I think it started somewhere in the 90's)and we all know that that show is terrable for ways that I can't say for fear of getting banned.

Seriosly, there arent even anymore cartoons left, there all shit sitcoms and shows about teenage superstar fuckheads.

The cartoons of this decade, at least in the States, have NOTHING on the 90's cartoons. I wish I could go back to when I was a kid.

To go off topic, did anyone see that movie? On sunday a couple weeks ago?

It was great. Also, the 90s had Animaniacs, what Irridium just posted, and so much more. Whatever the 00s had, the good stuff was really only 2000-05.

Edit: Canada still has craploads of awesome cartoons, by the way.

The current cartoon generation fails in quality. It's not simply nostalgia since I still watch the original Tom and Jerry cartoons which were hand drawn as well as the Looney Tunes. One try at making the Roadrunner today and soccer moms will be up your arse because anvils fall out of nowhere on the villain protagonist.

Those brilliant Cartoon Network cartoons back in the day.

As much as I like some of the newer cartoons, it can't top Animaniacs or the Marvel cartoons, though going even further back, G.I. Joe, Thundercats, Thundarr the Barbarian, He-Man (and spinoff She-Ra), Transformers, Voltron... those were the days.
