Poll: A DeviantArt to Escapist Link?

One of the many things the Escapist supports is the ability to link certain profiles from other sites to your Escapist profile. Giving you, or the user viewing your profile, quick and simple access to all your social networks and other useful sites like YouTube and Twitter to add you as a friend, see your information that you have decided to share and whatnot. Well after pitching an idea to the Ideas for the Escapist [http://cdn.themis-media.com/media/global/images/groups/avatars/default.png] group. I have been tasked to see if this idea for a new link is a viable one for the Community!

That idea is a link to your deviantArt account. For those unfamiliar, deviantART was created to entertain, inspire, and empower the artist in all of us. Founded in August 2000, deviantART is the largest online social network for artists and art enthusiasts. Or so the site states [http://about.deviantart.com/].

So my question is this;
If the Escapist supported the linking of your deviantArt account, would you use it? If so, how would you like it supported? A simple link like the Xbox, PS3, Twitter and Facebook links? Or more involved, along the lines of the Steam link that shows what games you have been playing, and the YouTube link that shows your most recent video uploads for something like a box displaying your most recent art uploads?

Remember, if you like it, the Escapist will take it seriously as an idea. So what are your thoughts?

EDIT: As pointed out, deviantArt has filters against mature or explicit content. Something the Escapist would obviously use.

EDIT2: A couple of people have mentioned a site called conceptart.org. A site that, I have to admit, I have never heard of. After investigation it looks like a site based solely around artwork, where deviantArt encompasses art, cosplay, model work etc. Please correct me if I'm wrong but that was my impression of surfing the site for 10 minutes.
Regardless, the thread is not whether conceptart.org would be a better choice than deviantArt. It's whether if deviantArt was linked to the Escapist, would you use it or not?

A few years ago, I went and tried to look for porn on DA. It's there but just softcore stuff, not enough for a real turn on, also there's furry if your into that sort of thing
But please don't think that the entire site is filled with it, because that would make me sad.

Well, I personally can't draw for shit, but I'd be curious enough to check out what other people have done. In fact I already have looked at a few DA profile links posted in groups and syeeuch, so it would be a definate yes from me.

that would be cool I seldom visit the DA forums but I'm checking up on here every 30-40 minutes and it would be a cool way for people to see my DA and see others DA accounts. Besides H-Foundry is where all the adult stuff goes

It's not that it is porn, but that the escapist might have issues linking accounts to a site that contain it.

Yes and no...I have 2 DA accounts and am actively trying to keep one of them hidden from my GF. The other one is somewhat safer but I still don't think I'd link it to my Escapist account. I think my profile page has one or both of my DA account links on anyway though...just checked my profile and it's not there. I guess I've posted the links in another thread or, given it to people on my friends list.

Well it depends how many people here use DA. Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, PSN/XBL all make sense since majority of the people (here and future users) all use it. I don't really see a point to using DA (for the general user and the escapist itself) unless we get something like a free game or something :V

Probably because the way the question is phrased, everyone who doesn't have a DeviantArt account or has no plans to make one has to vote "no", because they won't use it.

As such, I vote no, because I don't see a need for it. There's a place to link to an outside URL already. And, more importantly, I asked a while ago for a link to Formspring accounts, got a "maybe", but never heard back. Granted, that was 2 Community Managers ago...
