Yeah, pulling of a triple kill with a knife in CSS is way more satisfying than a triple kill in pretty much any other game.

Seems like Killzone 3 will be returning to that.

yeah killzone did have a good system, though i find it amusing that you used the term eye candy, considering one of those animations was jamming the knife into one of their eyes.
Hm... nah, I think they're all the same except the bat, knife and fists (fists definitely do more damage). And the unlocks can do more damage (skullcutter, equaliser...)stinkychops said:I swear that the wrench, bottle and bonesaw are far more powerful than shovel, axe and koukri(although heavy and sniper sometimes seem powerful).Kollega said:Team Fortress 2 handled it pretty well. In TF2 you have to switch to your melee weapon (standard ones look differently, but have same stats for each class, except Scout's bat (hits weaker, but faster) and Spy's backstab-enabled knife), and it's not instakill, but all standard melee weapons have more chance to land a critical hit than ranged weapons.
Overall, it dosen't unbalance the game like MW2 knife does, but still provides an opportunity for close-quarters brutality.
