yea with Uwe Boll alive there is a chance...if he does make it it will suck....if you say it sucks and you are an actual critic he will challenge you to a boxing match. If he does all you need to do though is kick him in the groin and say you were aiming for his chestGodsAndFishes said:I really hope there is. you sir, are clearly from another planet. You really think a god damn halo movie would be better than district 9? District 9 was an intelligent, yet badass, action movie that was shockingly relevant and good. Halo is a turd and using my ratio you could see that a halo movie would suck so bad that your eyeballs would fall out and run away if you tried watching it.rockingnic said:If peter jackson get off his ass. We actually could have had a halo movie this year instead of district 9.
You guys are fucking with me?13lackfriday said:Indeed I do.miracleofsound said:I was just about holding onto myself, desperately trying not to jizz my pants, and then Liam Neeson appeared.13lackfriday said:Dude, I don't think you'll even need a God of War movie adaptation.miracleofsound said:Exactly.13lackfriday said:You didn't leave an option for "Neill Blomkamp."
If it gets made by him, as it was originally intended to, then it will be awesome.
I'd love to see God of War made into a movie. Benicio Del Toro or Zack Snyder could do it.
The soundtrack is already better than 90% of movie ones.
Have you seen the new Clash of Titans trailer?
You owe me some new shorts.
But I seem to short on those, perhaps a toga or a leather skirt like the Greek warriors of old would suffice?
...what did "District 9" have in common with "Halo"? Are you just taking a grasp at the "Peter Jackson produced it" straws?EClaris said:they tried, and it turned into District 9.
Can't you be happy with that?
You, Sir, are a scholar and a prince.Asimov said:No. No no no no no no no no no. A halo movie would suck ass. As a rule, the quality of movies made from games is a ratio: one tenth the original quality of the game. With a good game you can make a sucky movie. With dross like halo you will summon the apocalypse. But jesus wasn't cool with that and stayed peter jackson's hand.

That's like saying "a marmite doughnut would be really good, but the professional bakers at the bakery would probably mess up the execution".kidigus said:it would be cool but the hollywood guys who are most likely too busy to play games would probably mess it up.![]()
A fan of Halo wanting a Halo movie? Seriously, where have you been? With all the movies that are based off games, most of the fans are always pissed about it more than anyone. Halo isn't going to be any different, they will ruin it (in terms of not following the story or changing things up) and then all the fan (boys) will be pissed.Ellibod1 said:just something I'm asking as a fan of Halo
No, I'm grasping at the straws that the budget and team that was originally intended to make the Halo film made District 9 in it's place.GDW said:...what did "District 9" have in common with "Halo"? I thought it was that they both wanted to make the movie (Neil Blomkamp in particular was seen making interviews about it seeming quite keen and Peter Jackson first came up with it after all) but that it went through development hell and they were forced to shut down production half way through but they still had left over budget that they needed to spend and that became District 9.gadafgadaf said:they were going to make a halo movie but the director didn't want to do it and he made district 9 instead.

hmm i might have read an article meant as pr for the public...i dunno. It had quotes from the director and producer of the district 9 movie indicating what I posted is what happened to the halo movie. In hind sight a movie debacle like you are describing can be bad for image and stock of the film production company.Vrex360 said:I thought it was that they both wanted to make the movie (Neil Blomkamp in particular was seen making interviews about it seeming quite keen and Peter Jackson first came up with it after all) but that it went through development hell and they were forced to shut down production half way through but they still had left over budget that they needed to spend and that became District 9.gadafgadaf said:they were going to make a halo movie but the director didn't want to do it and he made district 9 instead.

I could be mistaken though, but that's what I heard.
