While I do love pock (Chinese pock to be exact) over chicken but I going with the chicken. Sorry but I would turn down the pig offering her willingess to be eaten. To me it doesn't feel right that the pig long life dream is to simple end her life by being eaten which kind of sound like suicide. I mean there is so much to life than death so soon.

I personally don't care about any of the respective animals.

So I chose the pig simply because I like Pork more than chicken.

How is this a dilemma?

I'd eat the Chicken even if it lullabied its baby chicks under its wings and cried animal tears to her husband rooster good bye.

I can't believe this is what counts as a moral dilemma these days, you're all a bunch of pussy bushwackin' hippies.
+1

dont see the dilemma here aswell <_<

To be honest, I don't think I care what the pig wants. I'd go with the brain-dead chicken because I like the taste better.

After I saw a talking pig, I think I'd go for the veggies. Or just coffee.

But if that wasn't an option, the chicken sounds more appealing.

I would be pretty freaked out by the talking pig.

And I like veggies.

But the chicken sounds more appealing since it's brain-dead and all.

It looks like someone likes The Restaurant At The End Of The Universe.

OT: I'm sorry, but I gotta go with bacon. It's just so damn good. Also, I was never a fan of chicken.

Pig

It wants to be eaten, and who's gonna choose chicken over bacon?
Probably this.

Also, how is this a moral dilemna? Both animals seem to be fine with being eaten and also, it sort of depends on how the dish is prepared and how long it takes. I mean it has to take quite some time if the animal is still alive when you walk in the restaurant.

Pig.

I was tempted to choose chicken as I was thinking about it living a very depressing life with having no emotions or anything.

Then again, it's a chicken. Besides I wouldn't want to disappoint the pig.

So, imagine this as a situation. You walk into your favourite restaurant, sit down at the table and look at the menu. After looking at it for a while, the waiter comes over and tells you about the specials. One of them is a pig, genetically modified to want to be eaten. She is even trotted out in front of you, while she tells you her best cuts, her recommendations for how she should be eaten and her lifelong desire to be eaten. The other option on the specials is a genetically modified chicken, who was born to be brain dead. It feels no pain, has no emotion or feelings and only knows how to eat, sleep and drink. So, which choice would you pick?

PS: If anyone can name the book this is from, a virtual biscuit will be yours. And I might put up other dilemmas but let's see.
The Restaurant at the End of the Universe, one of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy books.

I'd eat the pig. Fulfil a dream...

A brain dead chicken? Isn't that like a regular chicken? Or a smart sheep?
I would still go with the pig. I like my pork.

The pig may want to be eaten, but that doesn't mean it will enjoy the process once it becomes a reality. Chicken, I'd be putting it out of it's misery or doing nothing at all
