I dance a lot, both at home and in clubs. I dance to industrial dance music generally, but I try not to do the standard industrial dance stuff as I find it a bit stiff and repetitive. I'd say I try to be more on the electrodance/tecktonic end of the spectrum.
I really started a few years ago. Until then I'd always danced a bit at clubs but always felt kind of awkward doing so, which I guess is probably how most people feel, but then I just started practicing at home and watching videos on youtube. Basically, I think people have this idea that dancing is just a natural skill some people have, but it isn't. All the people I've ever met who I think are good at dancing, even just the people who look good messing around on a dancefloor, are good because they practice.
Well.. that and confidence, but even then practice makes confidence easier.
