I like the way Team fortress is, there's hints here and there in the maps of certain things there fighting over or for and I quite like making up little stories for why there fighting and what there motives are.

If we are talking the SP campaign would come in some sort of update then I am 100% with you. If on the other hand it was put out as a full retail game and had some creative minds behind it (who also understand what makes a game fun or not) I think there is some huge potential for a great game. The question would be how to do it. Do you go with a Jericho type game that you can switch characters on the fly? Or do you give each class thier own story and levels and go with the whole same overall story from different POVs? That would piss off a ton of people. Mainly, the one's that want to the rest of the classes to be updated and the game to be balanced. It's a game designed for multiplayer to. Why does it need a single player?
