My whole view on Lincoln has changed, I don't think...ha ha gotch ya! That may be true, but he was young as it says in the quote, and he still did good things in his life. Like freeing all the black slaves.

I have been doing some resherch on Lincoln and I think the he could be the greatest human who has ever lived. What do you think?

Well, to a lot of the world, they'd just say "Who?".

Greatest guy in America? Still difficult, because you're discounting all the people before him.

Problem is that he's been Flanderised [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Flanderization?from=Main.Flanderisation] so much that it's difficult to tell what's actually true about him.

A pretty good guy though? I can go with that.

Hell no. He was flawed, just like everyone else.

And he freed the slaves in the South because he knew it would fuck with the Confederacy's economy and leave them running back to the Union.

Not to mention ensuring Britian and France's support for the Union, who were considering whether or not to recognise the Confederacy before the Battle of Antietam and the Emancipation Proclamation.

General Sherman was the badass of the American Civil War. There was a guy who just made war for the hell of it and happened to be quite good at it.
