MW keeps track of my accuracy.
On the first installment I had an average of 27.8%
Throughout the mp of Modern Warfare 2, however, my accuracy was a whooping 74.1%
So I guess the numbers speak for themselves.

I generally take accuracy over power when I'm playing campaign modes. It's better to make a few well-placed hits than risking your survival on one or two very powerful ones. the exception to this is artillery.

When playing online, especially in MW2, I need to hit hard and fast, since lag often deprives me of the ability to fire accurately.

Me, I can't stand missing, so I try and be as accurate as possible.

What about you, do you care or do you spray and pray?

(Anyone with a fully auto weapon may as well say no)
It depends really, if the game is good and the AI is a worthy fighter or if in multiplayer and your opponent is a strategist then accuracy isn't needed, just spray all over the shop and run away!.
Well at least your honest and bloody angry as I am to say it, your tactic works -.-

wheres the "it depends" poll option?

see if the situation needs stealth, accuracy, and skill and if i'm pressed for ammo then yes I try to be accurate as possible but if i'm surrounded and have plenty of ammo spray and pray.

Accuracy is everything. If you miss, he might not miss you. You gotta get them before they get you, if you don't, game over.

Depends, in games like Halo I make the shots count, but in games like Cod4 it pays to spray and catch people through walls.

Most of the time, the more accurate a weapon is, the more satisfying it is to use. But when you have a weapon like a minigun or a BFG that can shread a target in miliseconds, sometimes it's more fun when you don't have to aim.

If one on one, accuracy.

If multiple opponents, spray.

Both are -tools-. Use them wall.

I don't choose a tool before I go to work, I bring the damn toolbox.

Honestly, if I think Im going to die, Im going to melee (when available)

and there are some games where thats all Ill do and be surprisingly good at it. Its a lot of fun to just run around and whack people. Its why I like the riot shield in MW2. Ill go rounds in that game just running up to people and smashing them

I usually do.. mediocre, but I get a kick out of it and think its funny. that or hopefully I could give them a good panic scare- or distract them

Accuracy is nice, but missing doesn't make me go crazy. It's frustrating if I'm aiming right at the guy and can't hit him after holding down the trigger for two full seconds though. (Melee beats you all)

I do it the AMERICAN way! If it doesn't die in the first 1000 bullets you hurled at them, then give a 1000 more!

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

I'm Aussie so we do both depending on the situation.

long range & medium range:be accurate
close range:spray
its that simple
if you spray at long range, you die
if you try to shoot accurately eventhough your target is right in front of you,you also die

Generally I tend to sway towards the first option, albeit more casually... With the demo in TF2 you can't really be 100% accurate though, and it's my most played class

I do prefer a really high accuracy on weapons rather than firing rate, damage, or bullet penetration.

But on CoD4 multiplayer, my accuracy is somewhere around 15.76%. I'm pretty sure that's bad, even though I don't seem to miss all that often.

Dude, when I get a magnum/sniper in my hands, people run. Or at least serpentine.

Speaking of which, I'm gonna go play ZPS...

If I miss the first shot with a sniper I prefer to just wildly fire in that general direction. Magical Headshots FTW
