Achievements... I like having a gamerscore... Which is unfortunate. Its because of a gamerscore I have a hard time going back to playing ps2 games...
Seconded...but they do make you do inane things in gamesPiflik said:They're both worthless...

This. But also because Trophies imply that there might be physical rewards, when there aren't.minxamo said:achievements, because i don't have a ps3.
Meh. I don't buy that many games, and I don't usually go out of my way for achievements. I'm currently flicking through my collection to work out what the best way to earn 105G is. It's either by completing Mass Effect 1 again (with a couple of other achievements in the process), finally putting myself through MW2's favela level on veteran, and then finishing the game, or completing ME2 on insanity and finding the last 8 feathers in AC2.Fallen-Angel Risen-Demon said:[gloat]J03bot said:Achievements, because I like the arbitrary cumulative score that features. Pah! That was easy! I've only had my Xbox 360 for about a year and I hit that four months ago!

Leveling up is more appealing to me it makes it more like a RPG and I like RPG's.
I don't go achievement hunting.J03bot said:Meh. I don't buy that many games, and I don't usually go out of my way for achievements. I like how alien swarm grants a parasite hat in tf2.Treblaine said:Achievements, but STEAM achievements. Fuck gamerscore, that just turns into e-penis bullshit. Achievements are supposed to be recognition for feats in each game. Trophies are just as bad with their gold, silver and bronze ranking and how inevitably they become more for bragging then the private satisfaction of genuine accomplishment.
