Achievements... I like having a gamerscore... Which is unfortunate. Its because of a gamerscore I have a hard time going back to playing ps2 games...

Achievements, it's something about that sound and the icon that pops up on screen.

I hate Achievements. What with them being crowbarred in to every game, they get annoying, and the whole points thing creates annoying achievement whores.

I'm not sure about trophies, I never hear about them, though I suspect not keeping a running score will help against those tiresome obsessives.

I dunno... I voted Trophies because I have a PS3 and have never recieved an Achievement becuase of my lack of owning an Xbox.

From what I heard though, Getting Achievements gives you Microsoft points or something... Which can be used to pay for DLC... in effect rewarding you for good gameplay...
Is this true... Because if it is, it is awesome and Sony should really steal that idea...

Achievements, but STEAM achievements. Fuck gamerscore, that just turns into e-penis bullshit. Achievements are supposed to be recognition for feats in each game. Trophies are just as bad with their gold, silver and bronze ranking and how inevitably they become more for bragging then the private satisfaction of genuine accomplishment.

Achievements, because I like the arbitrary cumulative score that features. Ordinarily, I don't care that much, but I'm now getting quite close to 10,000G, and want to hit that milestone before my next game purchase (Halo:Reach)

Trophy's as the sound is more appealing.
Oh, end the PSN level system reminds me of RPG's. 'I must reach the highest level!'
Also they are rarer.

Pah! That was easy! I've only had my Xbox 360 for about a year and I hit that four months ago!

Leveling up is more appealing to me it makes it more like a RPG and I like RPG's.

Even though i'm a 'trophy hunter' I say Acheivements sound better. I mean, every time i say trophy I just imagine some mockingly retarded man saying "TROFFEEEE!!!"

Achievements because I don't own a PS3, they're the original, and they come with points attached.

Meh. I don't buy that many games, and I don't usually go out of my way for achievements. I'm currently flicking through my collection to work out what the best way to earn 105G is. It's either by completing Mass Effect 1 again (with a couple of other achievements in the process), finally putting myself through MW2's favela level on veteran, and then finishing the game, or completing ME2 on insanity and finding the last 8 feathers in AC2.

I don't go achievement hunting.
It's probably due to the fact I rent a lot of things.

I like how alien swarm grants a parasite hat in tf2.
