I can understand most of them, but why the F-word?
"who the SEXUAL INTERCOURSE are you?"
This ENGAGED IN SEXUAL INTERCOURSE WITH AN UNKNOWN MOTHER remote wont work!"-
Wouldn't "f-you buddy!' be a compliment?

I never swear when anyone else is around, and I try not to when no one else is. Inside my head however..... well, again, I probably do not swear mentally as much as some people.

The reason why I don't swear is due to the fact that it's not polite and it doesn't make a good impression on employers, relatives, and random people on the street.

Why does everyone make such a deal out of it?

Also this is one thing I actually do want to know. Why do people say they don't swear for religious reasons. Please explain that.

Being able to refrain from swearing is a talent and believe me it is useful. I know one person who got fired from their job because they used a couple of swear words. Forcibly restraining oneself from swearing is a useful talent because it forces someone to constantly monitor what they say, which means they are unlikely to say things they don't want to, or make mistakes, or blurt out information.

It's a form of mental self-restraint, and it's good practice. Being able to inhibit one's instincts is a sign that they have control over themselves.

I don't swear. I think it's pointless, really.
So, nope! You aren't the only one! We should start a club of non-swearing people!
The Association to Stop Swearing!
(Kudos to those who get the pun)

Im freakin 19 years old and I still say heck, crap and such. If someone ask's me what another person said, I automatically modify the swear words if there were any.
I am completely desensitized to it, me being on the internet and all, but I cant say them Sure I think the f-word and everything else in my head when someone comes in my line at work but doesn't know what they want to order, but I've never said any. I think I've only typed out Damn <5 times my whole life.
I've recently made myself say '*****' and 'ass' out loud to myself as those are terms and Im being nitpickey about those.
Anyone else like this or know someone like this, or am I the only one on the internet?
if you don't want to swear don't, but i think there are moments were it is necessary to be serious and to say that to get peoples attention.

Is this for religious reasons? I was raised fundamentalist and I remember when my father told me that if I, say, fell off a building to my death and shouted "oh, shit" on the way down that God probably wouldn't send me to Hell for it. It was a revelation. Please, feel free to laugh at this; I do. I also remember selling all of my Nine Inch Nails and Lords of Acid CDs (that's albums, singles and remix albums, hundreds of dollars worth), twice, because they were "worldly" and "sinful." Now I see that as a naive waste of money.

Forgive the double-post.

I don't see any context for swearing in the workplace; outside of that, and around small children, I say swear up a storm (but if you do it too much you'll sound ignorant).

This thread makes me think of the South Park movie.

Here you have people who have played games where they shot, stabbed, burned, cut, sawed, crushed, electrocuted, disintegrated, dissolved and in other way maimed people.

But they don't curse.

You can kill yourself all you want, just as long as you're polite about it.

I swear sometimes but trust me it makes you look so stupid if you do it to much.
I've seen some rants on YouTube where the people are REALLY mad but they're impossible to take seriously because they swear to much its hilarious, they should have a TV show devoted to little kids on the internet think of the ratings.
