Im freakin 19 years old and I still say heck, crap and such. If someone ask's me what another person said, I automatically modify the swear words if there were any.
I am completely desensitized to it, me being on the internet and all, but I cant say them Sure I think the f-word and everything else in my head when someone comes in my line at work but doesn't know what they want to order, but I've never said any. I think I've only typed out Damn <5 times my whole life.
I've recently made myself say '*****' and 'ass' out loud to myself as those are terms and Im being nitpickey about those.
Anyone else like this or know someone like this, or am I the only one on the internet?

i dont curse either except sometimes i can type out swear words to drive my points across

i just dont speak them

I don't swear for religious reasons. I've no desire to, either.
What religoun says thou shall not swear?!
"Matthew 5:33 Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself [NKJV: swear falsely], but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:
34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:
35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.
37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

James 5:12 But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation."

I'll admit the intent in this case is a bit different, referring more to the taking of oaths. But there are plenty of places that speak out specifically against profanities as well. And I'm not trying to preach here. You asked where, I'm telling you. Other people are free to do and believe in whatever they want. I've just no desire to swear, and some good (to me) reasons for not swearing.

Wait weren't there parts in the bible that use the words hell or damn?
Yeah. You know, those words have uses other than as expletives. Most swear words have no meaning other than adding emphasis in place of other words or terms (that existed before the swear word came into usage) which mean the exact same thing. This is not the case with these two. Instead, the primary non-profane way to get across the meaning of Hell or eternal suffering is to use since-constructed "darns" and "hecks." These words only exist to convey the same meaning without the profane usage we have come to associate with the original words.

I swear rather often but not excessively (save for when I yell fuck constantly when something goes very, very wrong) I often just use really old timey insults and the word "fudge"

Sometimes I swear like a trooper, sometimes I'm like a saint. Usually it's what the situation calls for, but I feel no shame from swearing naturally.

Well fuck that. If that's what floats your boat/runs up your flagpole/etc, then that's fine for you, but I could never live like that.

Why do people give a fuck about "swearing"? Some one needs to go back in time and kill whoever decided which words were "swear" words. Words are WORDS. So called swear words are not going to cause famine or resurrect Hitler! People who sensor themselves should grow a FUCKIN pair.
You caan get put on probation in some sites, and even this one. Also, you need to treat otherers with respect if you want to get far in life, and swearing is not the way to go to get respect.

By the way, what is the point of swearing? does it make little middle sschoolers feel tough? is it a way to make up for a small dong? or are they just angry people? Anyway, most people dont want to get labled as any of these, so what really is the point of it?
Bolded for the fuckin' irony. We fucking swear. Get the fuck over it. And if you want to question my manhood or virility, you'll find I'm well equipped and have nothing to compensate for.

I'm like that, but only with the s-word. I love 'fuck', but can't bring myself to say that s-word, for some reason. Swearing is overrated anyway- unless you're Samuel L Jackson.

Swearing and cursing when the time is not right, shows a lack of vocabulary.
Other times it's great!

For certain phrases, I censor myself out of habit. Ex: "Fuck the shit" becomes "bother that nonsense". I also censor myself whe around kids and my one super-sensitive friend, but the rest of the time I'm all up in that mother fucker.

To be viewed as a respectable young man, I speak politely on most occasions. Put a controller in my hands, however, and I become a fucking sailor.

When this happens, I turn the XBL headset off. The only thing worse than me losing my cool over some bloody game is the influence my words have over the twelve year olds I'm undoubtedly playing with. Not for their precious, innocent minds; fuck their minds. I just can't bear the squeaky chipmunk curses I'll inevitably have to mute.

Excessive in every sense of the word. It's not exactly something to brag about but I had over 250 server kicks and 100 bans for language in BF2...

I swear when watching sports, I swear when talking about politics, I swear when playing games, I swear when i'm working, I swear when i'm listening to music and watching movies.

Oddly enough though it just switches off automatically and completely when i'm around elderly people though.
