Im freakin 19 years old and I still say heck, crap and such. If someone ask's me what another person said, I automatically modify the swear words if there were any.
I am completely desensitized to it, me being on the internet and all, but I cant say them Sure I think the f-word and everything else in my head when someone comes in my line at work but doesn't know what they want to order, but I've never said any. I think I've only typed out Damn <5 times my whole life.
I've recently made myself say '*****' and 'ass' out loud to myself as those are terms and Im being nitpickey about those.
Anyone else like this or know someone like this, or am I the only one on the internet?
I dont around family but other wise yes

A swear a lot. Like, at least 30+ a day, if we include the internet. I like it, though. I know it's not 'ladylike' and shit, but, I dunno. It just feels natural for me to swear.

...And I've just realised I swore in that paragraph. XD

I was like that until 8th grade. I moved away from all of my friends because my father got a new job. I went into such a depressive state, that I just didn't care. I've tried to cut back on my swears though.

The one who swears is the one with a small vocabulary

I prefer to use more "sophisticated" language, rather than sounding like your average uneducated fool with a volcabulary consisting of a handful of words.

Stephen fry would disagree with you. And Stephen Fry is always right.

Personally, I think I could probably cut down on the swearing, but it's not a big thing for me or any of my friends or workmates, or even my uni lecturers haha. I occasionally swear around family, but nothing too coarse, and not too often :p
fair enough good sir/maddam, but i still think swearing should be kept to a small minimum

Swearing too much diminishes the meaning of it. I only swear to either completely surprise people or if it is REALLY NEEDED. (Which is very rarely)

I swear all the time when I talk, but I almost never type or write swear words. I don't know why this is, maybe they just seem more real in print.

Why do people give a fuck about "swearing"? Some one needs to go back in time and kill whoever decided which words were "swear" words. Words are WORDS. So called swear words are not going to cause famine or resurrect Hitler! People who sensor themselves should grow a FUCKIN pair.

I see little difference between swears and anything else, except that swears seem to flow better. Not because their swears, I think it's more that they were first, the nice versions came later, and so of course don't fit as good soundwise lol. Least in my ears.

I curse all the fucking time. I remember it started when I had a friend who used to be REALLY uptight about not cursing. I hardly ever said anything bad, but it pissed me off to no end. He has gotten over it, but I don't think I have held a conversation with any of my friends without using the word "fuck" about twenty times. I applaud you, though.

I swear all the time. Honestly it's not a big deal, they're just words that mean I'm angry...or confused or something of the like. If I just yelled out randomly instead of swearing it would mean the same thing, but it would be a lot weirder that way. People hold too many connotations for words, on their own they're nothing but a combination of letters but as soon as they're spoken everyone thinks something terrible has been said. So yeah I swear a lot and I have no problem with it. Your probably the odd one out here as most people I know swear fairly frequently.

I swear. Excessively.

But not in front of people who are important or are older. That would be improper. But if its me and my friends playing a videogame I might curse if I get killed, just a word.

First off, I thought that c*** was a swear word or is that just me? (I've not read all the posts on here so I appologise if someone's already pointed that out).
I nautrally don't swear, one because I'm a Christian and so I don't take the Lord's name in vain or think that it's right to swear in general plus I've been brought up in a swearword (for the purposes of this discussion) free home environment.
I find it depressingly sad that people have all the words in the English language to choose from to express themselves yet all they do is use four or five swearwords in place of adjevtives! I'm not saying anyone's a lower form of being for doing so I just think that swearwords are there for times of anger when no other word will do, not as the first thing that comes to mind.

I feel the same OP, I say "fudge" and "schmit" and "smeg" instead :D

Although I can cuss better than anyone when I'm really mad. In fact when I'm full of RAGE It can be just a constant string of swears :0

But yeah, when I'm not angry beyond reason, I try not to swear :p
What does smeg replace?

I come from a working house class, with a dad and friends who talk like sailors. So I swear. I can easily control it though.
Smegma. Look it up on wikipedia.
May I asume it is NSFW if I'm to use Wikipedia?
Yep, watch out for the picture, it's nasty dude.
