I'm pissed that it's not available on PC, so I guess I'll never know, outside of Angry Joe's review & a few youtube videos of hillarious glitches.

1. You're never the only one.

2. I don't hate it. But it's overrated. It's about as imperfect as games get, the world is not that interesting and John Marston is the sole reason I refuse to take any award shows this year seriously - he is not Best Character. Especially next to the Heavy Rain crew.

He is your typical Rockstar protagonist, minus any brains whatsoever.

I didn't hate, I just didn't like it either.

It was GTA4 without the buildings and the cars, and with a doormat as the protagonist.

You shut your whore mouth when you talk about RDR that way. Okay, i'll give you the glitches, but the rest is all dribble, unless you fell asleep from about 2 hours out from the ending then the ending is pretty damn clear. Some of the character are meant to be unlikable pricks...just putting that out there.

Also SPOILERS! You don't know if you've just ruined this game for a few dozen other Escapists with your shenanigans.

That's a lot of pros for a game you apparently hate. People use that word too damn quickly, it's a strong word you know.

Anyway, I loved it. Very atmospheric, story was told well and kept me interested. Also, I actually love RDR's bugs. They're so funny:

At least it had a lot more to do than GTA4, where all you could do is buy new clothes and eat lots of burgers. And go see GREAT AMERICAN TIIIITIES!!!! Fuck you Roman.

It was an ok game with some good points like the story, charaters and the weapons felt and sounded right. But i felt the way John died I could have taken them on Ive took on more people it would have been pritty easy, and your sons voice makes me scratch my ears off. I prefer Red Dead Revolver it was more streamlined if not very linear I just dont get why they called it Red Dead when it has nothing to do with Red unless Redemption was a prequel.

I would agree with you...

If I hadn't stuck through with it. The beginning was HORRIBLE to me. I'll give you that. It gets a lot better I think as you progress.

I stopped playing when I got to Mexico. The characters didn't endear themselves to me and, I hated the desert landscape. Hogtying people was fun but the novelty wore off quickly. Same with skinning animals: fun the first dozen or so times but it couldn't hold my interest.

I had fun with it for a while but, I am just not into the whole cowboy thing. I haven't tried undead nightmare and there's a good chance that I won't.

Not a warm fuzzy sugar-coated one, no.

I liked the game quite alot but I hated the ending (and I do mean Hate), I hated it so much it actually turned me off going for 100% as I was planning to do. So yeah.

You are never the only one. So this thread is already invalid when the thought/intention occured to make this thread.
It's. A. Figure. Of. Speech. That spelt out enough? It's used to show that he doesn't like something many, many others have praised. Of course it's not bloody literal.
Now I got that off my chest...

I didn't play much of Red Dead Redemption, but I wasn't overly impressed with what I played. I liked the story and a few of the little side quests, but having to watch a horse's arse for half an hour getting to each one got tedious to say the least.
I also didn't like the gunfights, but that was just because I sucked at it.

Might have got better later on, but I sent it back to the rental place not long after I got to Mexico. If it wanted me to play more, it should have kept my interest.

CONS -
- Most of the time I'm playing it and when I'm not playing it I don't want to touch it with a 10ft pole.
- Glitches and bugs.
- While the characters were pretty fleshed out and human, that doesn't mean they aren't unlikeable pricks.
- This may be a misunderstanding but the ending made no sense, why did the army come after him? He did what he was told to do.
- I usually like travel time such as in Just Cause 2 but the travel in this game was excruciating.
- It might be different if I played Red Dead Revolver but I really couldn't give two shits about John Marston.
Con 1: I hate it but I can't put it down - in denial are you?

Con 2: What free roam game doesn't have these? I've yet to encounter any though, so I dunno what you're on about

Con 3: That's the point

Con 4: Because they were always going to come down on him, they just used him first to get the others.

Con 5: Psh, the travel wasn't that bad. It was boring, but not that bad. Use the fast travel more.

Con 6: Your problem, not the games.

Your complaints are silly
