Poll: Am i the only person who hates elves?

As someone that often min-maxs my characters in rpgs, I often take half-elf if its available, so I get all the bonuses of both races, multiclass, nightvision, immunities without being fragile, etc.
Though for pure hilarity half-orc barbarians are for the win.
So no, I don't hate elves, but I can see how certain types are annoying. Warhammer Online High elves for example have horribly annoying greetings. Yet the Dark elves are just damned cool.

I hate the way elves tend to be portrayed with their "holier than thou I'm nigh-immortal we are the superior race *****" attitude. All I say is this: just wait until gnomes invent gunpowder, dwarves invent the musket, and humans invent the mass-volley tactic. Sure, magic can decimate entire battlefields. But with the technological advantage and sheer numbers, I'm sure a human/dwarf alliance making marginal use of magic, relying instead on cavalry tactics and massed fire would defeat prissy elves and their longbows and dual swords.

Hey I love elves the high elf is probly one of the best races in TES....probly most people who play WOW (world of Warcraft) and are horde they probly hate Dark Elves but love blood elves.....
I don't hate elves, but I'm not keen of the people who tend to play them on MMOs. Elves are an over played race, and carry a stigma because of the fan base.
Elves in fantasy literature are generally an interesting, intricate and elegant race. I however much prefer Dwarves.

The guy rides around on an overgrown velociraptor, kills innocents, rapes, sells slaves, kills anyone who shows even the slightest signs of uselessness, shoots people in the face for trying to extract bribes, wears high elf scalps for disguise... and that's all just in the first few chapters of the first book.
