I'm not an Elfophile(?) but I have to say the Dark elves in Morrowind are exceptionally awesome, shame they're not as cool in Oblvion.

I like playing as elves, usually they have a unique or interesting build/quest/class/whatever attached to them. I'm not sure why there's this universal hatred for elves. I saw it a LOT in world of warcraft, but even in other games, people dislike having elves.

its technically Spelled ELVES. just considering that all VG elves were spawned from devs reading the works of JRR tolkien. and that many times he has stated that it is strictly Elves and Dwarves not Elfs and Dwarfs. hurumph.
just thought i would let you know that. you know that fact that the man who practically pioneered the fiction of fantasy elves wanted everyone to know that. the "Elf" that you are. not the video game creation. referring to is like the santa's helper,

...was that actually aimed at me, or did you just quote the wrong person? I'm perfectly aware that the plural is spelled "elves" (hell, it's in the dictionary entry). I'm pretty sure it's the same, etymologically, as staff and staves.
