A mage It's basicaly playing as god you can even fortify skills with magic.
Basically mage = everything, when you get to a certain stage.

I think I just played as the dude with the big sword, heavy armor and fire-ball for the win XD

And well, after a few play throughs I was enlightened in the ways of the developer console and after that I found a really good site for mods so I never really played seriously after that

Some of the mods were seriously amazing,

Sorry if its a little off topic but I do hope theyre working hard on Elder Scrolls 5 and that its gonna be just as good as oblivion was in its day

Starting off with a sneaky character then traing them up to be a Jack of all Trades is my usual method of character creation.

Breton mage with a good back-up sword for me. Turned him into a vampire with a kick ass self-crafted invisibility spell. Sneak attacks aren't a problem for him.
This also works well with a dark elf.
Game broken.

I love my magic, combined it with stealth and invisibility can kick arse

I always found sneaking too difficult in Oblivion, so I just use a bow most of the time and keep an enchanted dagger for when I really need it.

Voted Bow/Melee, but that's mostly because there's no "Melee WITH MORE MELEE ON TOP"-option. I had lots of different characters, but the one in the highest level by far was my orc in heavy armour with a big ass-mace.

You need an other poll option cos i go for sneaky/magic guy.
Also there are nowhere near enough options on the poll for all the combos

Well I used to mix stealth attacks with some healing,
I was to lazy to search for things for alchemy so I just casted some healspells
But I always failed after this guy disappeared into the paradise what so ever,
and now after my computer crashed the damn DVD is broken...

Uhm a sneaky-warrior-mage. If I see a fight coming sneak attack, then summon strongest creature, a few spells, attack while bouncing off the walls, some more magic, Finishing blow. 60% percent of the time, It works all the time.

I'm a no-nonsense orc with a big set of armour and a hefty mace and shield(oh, how I love the Knights of the Nine), but I'm in the Dark Brotherhood, so I know my stuff in sneaking, too, it being a very useful skill

My older brother used to have a wood elf vampire with the Dark Brotherhood robes you get part way through, he didn't have to repair them at all, because they didn't count as armour! But when I tried, I had a nice little sword as back-up as well, but I still got a fair dosage of pwnage : (

in my opinion there's no better feeling then pulling back my bow and killing a guy that's on the very fringe of the screen. you know when an NPC is so far away that you can barley see him but more like his white outline. i just love it when i know how far to pull back and then just watching my arrow sore through the sky and just fucking beaming people in the head!

Sneaky guy, with a heavily enchanted bow and arrows.
A small dagger and some destruction just in case.
This ^^

Crouched in the shadows 200feet away with a damage health bow, and some badass poison applied to my arrow.....dead before they hit the ground :)

Decent knife, or perhaps a shortsword as a backup for close quarters, and light restoration magic for if a plan should ever go awry (rare these days)

Usually pick Khajiit, for superb acrobatics and agility, leaping from rooftop to rooftop in pursuit of my prey....
Oh.. how could I forget the poison?
Been a long time since i've been on that game.
It's gotta be a dark elf for me.
...Plus i don't really like enchanted arrows.. they disappear, I prefer long distance shots and going to the victim to check the damage.

i ALWAYS have my sneak at lvl 100 before i leave the cave that makes you say ur classes are perminant...nothing like sneaking around in broad daylight with heavy armor on face the person and getting a X6 crit with a 2h sword.....PEOPLE DIE

I,ve completed the game 100% on every race and played to each of their strengths,
but i did really enjoy having an archer that used some skill in magic and stealth.

losing that vital amount of health makes you really proud when you achieve a mission.

my favourite race had to either be the wood elf or the argonian, just because you get a wider variety of dialogue against you.
