that would include my bank account, school account, social security number so the question is would you sell your identity for 2.5 million dollars
Those aren't really property, you don't legally own them. IIRC it's the same with passports.

As long as this was a case of "everything that is legally yours to sell", which is the impression I get from the OP, then yes. Although I'm definitely nuking my hard drive first.
In cases like this you should never assume, that's how they get you.

I probably won't do it.

Call me crazy, but money doesn't really drive me as much as it does others. Being able to live a comfortable and full life with things and people that make me happy is all I need. Even if I had a single possession, my Sonic & Knuckles game cartridge with the broken lock on latch and obvious signs of wear and tear, I would sooner be buried with it than to give it up for cash.

Because you're not including my cat, then hell yeah. I could buy new things of everything I had and still have roughly 2.25 million left.

But if you were to take my cat as well, no chance in hell.

Yes, I really don't care if he takes everything.
Steam account only has like 200 games on it and I don't care about heirlooms(Shut up grandpa you old bag o' bones!)
He can't take my body since slavery is illegal in the land of freedom.
hell I would be fine with giving over my pets as well 2.5 million will last me longer than 10 years... maybe I can get a little crazy...

Well that would require me to have a completely new identity set up, though, wouldn't it? I mean, that, or leave my online accounts to me, and just transfer anything with a monetary value from them (e.g. steam games).

In which case, yes, well, I'm pretty sure it'd be the easiest money I ever made. But if I+d have the identity issues to deal with, then no, keep your damn cash. My name is not for sale.

The net worth of the things that I own is massively smaller than that offer. However some of those things I have earned, through bloody, sweat and tears. I have my sport medals and trophies each of which represents a massive amount of hard work. I have memorabilia given to me by my now deceased grandparents and books signed by my sporting heroes. No, I would not give those things up. I can earn that 2.5 million but some of these things are unique and special to my.

My Answer is no, and I feel a little sorry for the people who don't have anything they value so much they won't part with it.

Yes, but only if allowed to back up all the important stuff on my computer to be transferred for when I get a new one. If I'm allowed to do that, you bet your ass I'd sell out. If not, then no.

At least I wouldn't have to move if I accepted the offer since I rent an apartment, I don't own a house. :p

No way. By the time I've re-bought all my stuff (and a lot of it I can't, or would have to pay ludicrous amounts to do so) my actual profit from the whole endeavour would be pretty low.

Ex took the lot, I'd be surprised if my stuff weighed in at £2,500 at the moment. I live in a rented furnished flat, about all this person would get would be a wardrobe full of clothes, an ancient PC and a PS3 with some games. So er, yeah. That's close enough to £1.5 million - can't argue with that!

I don't have a house, any form of personal transportation, and I have a busted TV and a PC circling the drain. The only things of value I have are my old CD players, games, books, cds, movies, and old toys which combined might equal 50k. I have no idea really.

My clothes are sad and most of them have little holes in them for some reason from the washer I use. Or there are some ninja moths in permanent stealth mode around here.

So yeah all my stuff would probably not equal even 200k by a wide margin.

I know for a fact that I could probably replace almost everything I own and continue living more or less the same quality of life with the rest of the money for the next 25 years at least. Probably the rest of my life really.

But when you think about it, they will probably consider your body their property now, and organs are pretty valuable. Jokes on them however. No appendix, gal bladder, or wisdom teeth, poor vision, poor lungs from birth, and my kidneys aren't doing very well this year. I wouldn't take my heart either most likely.

I do have lovely hands and skin, and I'm sure my bones would make good soup.

So if I could get a no prostitution/organ harvesting claus I'd give them my taco. Which kinda sounds like prostitution/organ harvesting, but its totally not.

Does this include my job? Because if it did then hell no I wouldn't. (My biggest fear is being unemployed)

If not then I'd be prepared to drop my pants at that very moment he gave me the money.

Actually, another thing; would that include my bank account? Because if he transferred the money into my account when I gave it to him, that wouldn't benefit me.

I would graciously accept the 2.5 mil, and in the couple hours he has given me, fill all of my hard-drives with copious amounts of illegal and illicit material, take out thousands of pay day loans (on the hope that he acquires my debt) and possibly fill my house with bomb making equipment. Then I would give it all away and inform the authorities.

I'd totally do it, but imma finish eating my taco and i need 1hr. Quickly borrow a family members hard drive and transfer everything i feel important, proceed to delete all my online accounts or make them impossible to access (confirm new email address: squidwardnipplecake5545990210@compuserve.net -> Yes) and borrow some of my dads clothes. Wave goodbye to my ~$40k worth of shit, borrow dads van and go buy myself a new bed, note 2 and laptop.

Would have to make sure everything's legit, of course. He owns my online accounts, so that would include my online banking and even my card and such, so would have to make sure he doesn't just take the money straight back. Luckily i'm Australian, so i can just go to the RTA and be like 'lost my license, need a new one, license number is [x]' and i have a form of ID enough to get everything else rolling properly. Although providing i can just get the $2.5mil in cash, my new name shall be Hotschaft von Hugenstein and i will have all of the legal documents proving this to be the case when i move to Oahu.

Everything I own is replaceable and relatively inexpensive, and I'm not sentimental so hell yeah? I could live for 25 years easily with that money. I never understood how the people pulling in that kind of money a year go bankrupt. They must be horrible at managing money.

First I will think for 30 seconds weather I have anything that valuable; A special jewel I found in my loft that is map to an anchient treasure or oil under my house. Or an uncles inheritance that I don't know about

Then I will say yes.

I will find it a bit creepy if he wants to keep my hardrive and photo albums. I will try to make a quick copy.
