I read Naruto and Bleach regularly and am up to date, and I watch Dragonball Kai now it's out.

I've seen all of Samurai Champloo, Gantz, and all the Dragonballs. I've seen and read all of Death Note, and I've read most of Berserk.

Fillers suck so I stay away from the long running 100+ episode animes. But so far I love Death Note and FullMetal Alchemist anime. FullMetal Alchemist Brotherhood is also awesome since it follows the magna which I read a while ago. Right now I'm reading Chrono Crusade, since its a classic.

Manga is better for storylines (most of the time) since filler will rarely, if ever, pop up, while anime tends to expand upon some scenes that are otherwise short and usually does more impressive visuals unless its a hyper violent one in which case the manga's usually better for that (Blade of the Immortal and Berserk come to mind).

Well, To be honest, Manga definitely takes the cake. The only problem is that without money its hard to get a hold of... But I hate almost every anime that has ever been on adult swim with a few exceptions like 'Neon Genesis Evangelion' and 'Paranoia Agent'... Right now I am really into 'Afro Samurai' though...

i read the manga first because you get more out of the books than the anime because a lot gets censored out from the manga.

(hellsing is a good one..the TV series was terrible..but they made up for it on the OVA)

For long running shows (Dragon Ball Z, Bleach, One Piece) the Manga is almost always better.

And Full Metal Alchemist is almost an entirely different story in Manga form... it's actually hard to go back to the anime once you've read it.

I really liked Death Note and Serial Experiments Lain, and Darker than Black intrigues me. Personally, I kind of like anime better than manga, but I won't go out of my way to get one over the other.

Peers over the walls of his fort, "Well, I don't watch nor read either. Because its not really of interest to me. And to be perfectly honest, whenever I see it on DeviantArt, it looks really pervy or even pedophilic. And the whole Pokemon thing bypassed me, so I didn't get into it by that route..." Ducks back into his fort.

I watch/read them both, I try to avoid mainstream manga so that I don't have to sift through hundreds and hundreds of books.

Neither at the moment, though I did watch the Pokemon anime again recently (the new ones, with Dawn in Sinnoh). However, I am planning to soon start watching via the internet Elfen Lied and Hellsing.

-Throw rotten tomatoes at Doug-

To be honest, it's really better to read Manga for the Canon story, but, fillers can do some good, Bleach's Bounto Arc wasn't that bad and allowed more character development for Characters like Ishida, and even, showed the similarities between Ichigo and the Bount's leader, Jin Kariya.

On the other hand, you have Naruto and how 100+ fillers butchered the story. Yes, the fillers may have shown the "badassery" of even boring characters like Hinata, even a decent finale with Gaara as a Trainer, but still, I won't even forgive them for the rest of cheap arcs that was in between the main arcs.

You should consider watching:
- Monster (Not really about the supernatural, it's a really great story about a Doctor falsely accused of murder and how he attempts to find the person responsible for his demise, the same person whom he chose to save the life, at the expense of his own career)

- Blood+ ( a decent Nurture vs Nature debate between the main character and her primary antagonist, her own sister)

- Finally, Gurren Lagann - which is simply awesome. :)

Oh and for reading:
- Berserk ( Deep characters, a tragic story - Epic)

The only Anime I have ever liked was Cowboy Bebop but thats because there is non shown over here and if there is its in Irish (WTF?!?) So i tried Manga and all i have liked was Deathnote and *cough* Ichigo 100% *cough*. I tend to stick to anime movies and the ones i have seen have been good i would recommend "The Land promised In our early Days"

I like anime, but I'm too lazy to watch it most of the time. I'll watch it if it's on or f a friend has it on DVD. I mainly read manga, and have a rather nice collection for a starter. I have a wide vairety of tastes, and my first manga is a romance/track and field manga called Suzuka (great manga btw)

I havn't read any mangas that managed to keep me interested. Death Note got boring after L died, and I only read up to volume 10 of Bleach before I got tired of it. So, no, I guess I don't like manga, and since anime is animated manga, I don't like it either. Maybe there are some good ones, but I have yet to read/watch them.

generally prefer manga but some series' just don't work as manga and for those the anime is much better....for example Black Lagoon.

the manga was bad
the animes was freaking KICK ASS!
