I do both, read and watch that is.

Some of the better Animes that I have watched are:

FLCL
Trigun
Code Geass
Deathnote
Hellsing
Blood+ (Not really that good, but I was hooked about five minutes into the first episode, if you watch it you'll understand)
yeh i agree code geass and death note are amazing but i have never seen the rest on them i have heard that hellsing was not that good
What!? You haven't seen Trigun, blasphemy!!!

You should go do that... Right... Now.
Okay, as soon I get some time I will go watch it. But do you know how many episodes it has?
I think it has 26 episodes.

Used to like alot of anime, but after I watched all the good ones (Trigun, Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bepop) and realized that the rest have way better manga counterparts, I switched sides.

Just look at Naruto, Bleach, Shaman King, Gantz, Berserk and Hellsing.

They all improve in manga form.
It's not that they improve in manga form... It's that they degrade in anime form.

my vote is kind of an odd one, I said anime only but I do have the mangas for my favorite anime series, which I procured after seeing the anime, just out of curiosity, but I tend to avoid mangas.

I read manga for more story-based stuff, and anime for action-packed stuff, because action is hard to represent in a single frame.

It depends on the anime or manga I prefer Soul Eater's manga over the anime and I prefer Code Geass's anime over the manga.

I used to enjoy anime and manga but in the last few years translation quality has slumped to the point where most subtitling - and alarmingly, dubbing - is practically comical.

I used to be able to show it to my friends and family, rather like watching a film together, but now if I ever want to do that I need to open up the mkv files and redo the subtitle track to create something that resembles idiomatic English. Given how few hours there are in a day, this doesn't happen very often.

Anime only at the moment, and I don't watch it very often. I haven't gotten into manga yet, although I've been meaning to see how some of my favourite shows like FMA, Elfen Lied, Rurouni Kenshin and Berserk were actually meant to have ended. I own all the volumes of Nausicaa, so I'll get round to reading my first manga at some point in the near future.

uhhh used to be huge fan, not so much any more....

i watched all of death note (the japanese version with english subs ( that way its not cencored as much)) series one... series 2 was crap.. after L ther could be nobody else...

and used to be HUGE fullmetal alchemist fan...

naruto is ok, i got into that for a bit.. but then after that i lost interest in manga / anime completely...

my advice is, if your going to watch the anime, watch the japanese version.. much better... lol naruto does not say stupid crap like "believe it" XD

Serial Experiments Lain is the light and the truth. Close this world- open the next.

I like Death Note and have more than a passing interest in Bleach.

Once my friend said: "ooo, I like graphic novels. Do you read them?"
Without thinking I was like "oh yeah. yeah, I do" (thinking FateStayNight). Of course, she was referring to Western types.
So she goes: "Oooo, so which ones."
Me: "well, Fa...." (thinks). ..... (OH SHIT). "ehh..well...ya know..I c..can't ..really remember right now..."
Her: >_>

The first two animes I ever saw were Urotsukidoji and Ghost in the Shell. I don't... Quite understand why the chick had to get naked when the guy could wear the invisibility hoodie. I'm also led to believe that Urotsukidoji was the first ever example of tentacle porn.

All in all, if I wanna watch porn, I'll watch porn. If I want to watch a cartoon, I'm gonna stick to 80's stuff like Action Force and Transformers (which I still count as Western, even if it was animated in Japan).

Not quite. There's tentacle porn going back to at least the 17th century or so. Octopi, see.
