I've read all of Ranma 1/2 way after it was released so it was a pain in the ass to find all the volumes
Bleach, beat the vandel buster, naruto, naruto shippuden, Black Lagoon, Mar, battle vixens(for the awesome fight scenes i swear), digimon, d gray man, and various others

above could be either manga or anime

Edit: and trigun why would i forget trigun both series, best anime and manga ever doesn't matter which form

Anime only so far. Full Metal Alchemist, Trigun, cough* Naruto cough*, FLCL, and a couple others are pretty awesome. But I'm not lining up for my cat ears anytime soon though.

sorry user name taken. said:
i read the manga first because you get more out of the books than the anime because a lot gets censored out from the manga.

(hellsing is a good one..the TV series was terrible..but they made up for it on the OVA)
That is why i don't watch americanized stuff, like naruto on cartoon network was butchered, watch it online there are plent of free streaming sites.

Peers over the walls of his fort, "Well, I don't watch nor read either. Because its not really of interest to me. And to be perfectly honest, whenever I see it on DeviantArt, it looks really pervy or even pedophilic. And the whole Pokemon thing bypassed me, so I didn't get into it by that route..." Ducks back into his fort.
well yeh it probly tends to look pervy and stuff becase the people that draw the fan art probly wish they could see that sort of stuff but i would not judge the actul stuff from just that becase most are good

oh and if you are looking for a good manga to read fairy tale is amazing

Right now am watching Kashi Mashi and Code Geass. Aquarion is next on my list.

Manga Reading Nagami and Scryed.

Why do I like them so much is a harder question to answer. I think it is because the emotions are so right in your face you can feel every feeling the characters are feeling. That and you can never be sure how an anime or manga is going to end. Sure some of them follow a predictable plot line that you can have the ending figured out by episode 4 but most have some nice twists and turns along the way that can shake what you think will happen. Where as most tv shows and movies in the US seem to follow the same patterns and are easily figured out before half the movie is over.

I think that some of the best manga/anime is some of the shorter stuff <15 volumes....

For instance I consider Demon Diary to be even better than anything like Bleach or Naruto....

And I can never read Yotsubato with ending up grinning from ear to ear, most awesome comedy EVER!

Manga, it feels like more effort has been put into it all. Obviously there are exceptions but as a general rule...

I have only just gotten into it, anime mostly, but only film, not shows. I have seen some of the works of Satoshi Kon and Studio Ghibli, and I may check out Cowboy Bebop sometime in the future.
I have yet to really read manga, I have read the first couple of volumes of Akira, and I think I will read FullMetal Alchemist when I have the time.

I used to watch animes, but I've found that reading is much better. Especially since, for example, Bleach is at least three dozens of manga chapters away from the current story...

I read mangas and watch animes casionally. Iused to watch animes back in 2007, but have grown out of it, because I rarely find an interesting thoughtful anime. At the moment, I'm reading Apocalypse Meow. Quite interesting, hopefully they won't cock up the animated version "Cat Shit One" which will be launched winter this year.

I read and watch Death Note and read Ouran High School Host Club (for giggles). My sister is more into anime and manga then I am and she'll buy the most off the wall books that I'll borrow. She and I recently started watching Ghosthunt too. NARU!

I do both, read and watch that is.

Some of the better Animes that I have watched are:

FLCL
Trigun
Code Geass
Deathnote
Hellsing
Blood+ (Not really that good, but I was hooked about five minutes into the first episode, if you watch it you'll understand)

I haven't seen anything new in a long time.

Actually the term anime is based of the french word for animated cartoon. It's just the American sling puts it as Japanese only. In Japan animation is a means to an end. It tells a story. Manga is slightly more specialized as the closest American equivalent is the graphic novel, and the two do not have the same basis.

I've got a decent-sized manga collection consisting of a lot of different genres. Just some titles off the top of my head: Fruits Basket, Fullmetal Alchemist, Hellsing, Kare Kano, Love Hina, Historie, Azumanga Daioh. Akira, Genshiken, Ranma 1/2.

Comedy, action, adventure, sci-fi, fantasy, historical, martial arts, slice of life, romance, whatever it is... I probably have at least one manga of it.

I'm not as interested in anime, though I do watch some of it from time to time.
