COD is a game that really rewards you no matter how good you are. So, in the end, even the worst player in the world can eventually get all the prestige there is to grab and lots of shinies. Bottom line, if you care about the shinies, go for it; everybody and their grandmother can tell how good you are by the body count and method of execution. As for me, I don't feel like going back to get shiny things when my S-Mart, top-of-the-line boom-stick does you just fine.
Absolutely nothing. I don't call it a noob tube. Personally, I think anyone bitching about certain aspects of a game that everyone has the chance to use should put the controller down, go look in the mirror, and come to the realization that they simply aren't good enough to be playing the game.BigDragun987 said:

Yeah I feel the same way on that one. If you decide to run into someones face with a MP5 and they have the class allowing them to hold two primary weapons and one of them is a shotgun looks like your blown up. You can't plaster Noob on anything just cause. In fact I just picked up CoD 4 maybe 3 days ago and I have been called noob constantly cause of my rank and the "cheap" weapons I use. Why not prestige? It gives you more to do and something to work toward. It is also more of a challenge at the beginning.
That's why I stopped using the headset. I keep it plugged in so I don't hear anything coming through the TV, but the volume is all the way down.BigDragun987 said:
I'd play hardcore, but the people who play that are even more fanatic about the game. I was blamed for shooting my team's dogs when there were no dogs around me, just because I had joined mid-match and only had a couple kills. Some people have the wildest imaginations.

1. Burst Fire - you see 3 guys directly in front of you. You burst fire one, maybe two...A fully automatic gun could kill all 3 in half a second, let along a shotgun.
2. Accuracy - Sniper rifle.
3. Grenade Launcher - require LoS to be accurate at all, random grenades are arguably better, as you don't even need to SEE the target to get kills more than half the time.
Even in clan matches and whatnot, I will still use a silenced MP5 + UAV jammer over basically anything. Shotgun + juggernaut also works very well.
Then again, the best gun is all personal preference...and I prefer an accurate, fully automatic assault rifle over any other assault rifle...I don't have a favorite gun, because I realize that many different situations will occur, resulting in one wanting range, or high damage or simply a gun that spews out a ton of bullets.
All this talk about the noob tube and class arrangement, it makes me proud that Infinity Ward wanted discussions like this to occur. They added perks so that every game is unique and they added weapons to fit all the circumstances they could think of at the time, so if you ***** about that stuff you are just bitching about how infinity ward made a best-selling game that you dont like
