No, but nessesary.

They restructures the tension in your legs raising your ass and rolls your hips back, makes you look f#$%able.

They give vital ankle support while you being hammered against a wall on your tip toes.

And, most importantly, I'm 6'3" and the avg hottie in these parts is 5'6". I don't like having to slouch or bend over to kiss the lady I'm with.

high heel shoes are possibly the worst things you can wear on your feet.

my program has shown me what can happen if you wear them too much this is what you feet can look like!

but once in a while i like to wear them.

Depends on the shoe. Heels are all about shaping the leg, but if they themselves are poorly shaped, then the whole effect is ruined.

Also, different types of people can pull off different types of heels. Someone with a more squat frame might WANT to be taller, but would be better served by smaller heels.

In any case, there is no way in HELL these cursed things would look good on ANYONE. I can't look at that and not feel sympathetic pain!

I hope not. Otherwise girls' feet would be covered in burns whenever they wore them. :)

But seriously, I'm indifferent. I don't love them, but I don't hate them either.

I guess it all depends on the girl in question.

I feel more attractive when I wear them, but I don't wear them often. I think they can be hot, but it's obviously situational. I mean it's never hot to look plainly uncomfortable, eh? None of my girlfriends wear them, and that hardly bothers me, so I hardly consider them an essential in looking hot. I don't find them especially uncomfortable, either. I mean sure after a while, but I can be on my feet for a few hours before any discomfort becomes significant, and due to some messups in my legs that go undiagnosed, that happens when I'm wearing flats too, so it really makes little difference to me. So yeah, I like them on me, and I like them on other people, if, you know, they're wearing them right. I think the general societal trend to say that women have to wear them to look professional/whatever is uncool, however. People should feel comfortable and confident in what they were, not pressured and unhappy.

Every time I see them the first thing that comes to mind is how uncomfortable they must be, and after that the thought that purposefully or not they are essentially a ball and chain, like when the Chinese female babies had their feet wrapped. There is no way to move quickly in high heels.

After those thoughts come and go, do they raise the person's aesthetic appeal? No, not for me.

if everything else about you is fake (makeup, wonderbra, etc.), why not add height to the list too

Generally I couldn't care less how women choose to dress themselves but I do find the whole concept of high-heels to be absurd. I mean I get they want to be taller and have their legs look nicer but at the price of getting serious foot strain, possible injury and even growth issues I gotta wonder why they can't just wear nice shoes with normal heels.

I blame the french, they're usually the ones responsible for insane fashion trends.

However, I don't get it when women CHOOSE to wear high heels (when it would have been perfectly fine if they didn't), and then later complain that their feet hurt... That's like me taking a hammer and hitting my head, then saying "ouch, hitting myself with a hammer seems to hurt". Also, I've heard that high heels can mess up the tarsals (a bone near the ankle) if used for some time. (Don't quote me on it though).
Well sure, but unless you're dating a serial killer, you're not hitting yourself with a hammer to turn her on.
