I watched the beginning of the first episode and wanted to brain myself before I could get any further. I don't understand the appeal at all.

Clearly, I have a hand-drawn imagine of me and my girlfriend in true pony style, oh and I introduced her.

Alas;

I just consider myself a bit of a fan. I have not progressed past like...episode 10. I think it's a fun show, but that's about it.

I don't consider myself to be a big enough fan to be a member of the brony herd.

No. It might be a great & wonderful show, but I honestly can't get passed that it's My Little Ponies enough to watch it.

I don't think it's stupid, hell, it might be awesome, but I can't get passed the title.

Not sure if I've posted in this thread yet, but if so I'll go ahead and post again.

Yeah I am and proud of it.

I would say yes having gotten into the series when it was a episode away from finishing the first season and currently waiting for season 2.

A far cry from when I was intially like so many others put off by the show but eventually decided to try out the first couple of episodes. First few episodes were a bit lackluster if a good introduction to the characters and would recommand watching the first 4 episodes (YMMV) and see for yourself if you would enjoy it. If by then you see nothing redeemable about the show then chances are you would be better off just moving on if it isn't in your taste.

It does however astound me when people continue to say that MLP is just a fad when while there is certainly the widespread enthusiasm it as proven thus far not short lived despite the final episode ending weeks ago and yet still going strong if not stronger then ever with increasing amounts of activity.

What could intially considered a fad has since then transcrended into a large fandom in what some may even call a sub-culture with the advert of unprecedented amounts of fanfare. Helps that a good deal of the press jumped on a bandwagon of covering a news article regarding Bronies getting some publicity as a result. Of course with our growth many will chose to hate on the show and/or its fandom often on the basis of its popularity among a number of other reasons. Which is all a way of saying that like it or not Bronies will be here to stay for a long time yet providing Hasbro continues to sell its merchanidse. And with it keep the show on the air, along with the show retaining its appeal and quality for however long as the show ages.

Yes. I love this show and its fanbase so much I puke rainbows about 3 times a week.
I tried not to get sucked into the Brony-dom, I really did. But the power of these damnably cute little things was just too much for me. Confound these ponies, indeed.

How was it dissappointing? What on god's green earth were you expecting from a cartoon about magic talking rainbow-coloured ponies aimed at 4 year-old girls?

Rainbow Dash 4 life. Tbh I just find MLP to be great for confusing people, but its definitely not the worst show targeted at the 10 year old girl demographic.
That demo is WAY too old. More like 3 year-olds.

You disgust me, even not so long from now when I'm the only non-bronie on the planet, I will stand fast against the bronie plague.

I kept seeing pictures and images related to ponies all over the internet. I wasn't really put off by them, but I wasn't ready to give the show a chance. Then I learned that show creator Lauren Faust, is Craig McCracken's wife. You know, the guy responsible for Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. You can't get a better job recommendation than that. So I gave the show a try. It's pretty fantastic. Okay, sure, the problems are usually solved with words and the closest thing to a battle boiled down to a pie fight, but all of the characters are likable. So likable in fact, I can't decide which one I like best. I only wish I had gotten into it sooner so I could have gotten the happy meal toys.

I KNOW RITE?
I don't even LIKE most techno/eurobeat (the music from Initial D being the -only- exception), yet almost every time I'm in my car I find myself blasting "Evil Enchantress" along with the rest of EBB's fine tunes.

Holy Crap, I thought this thread was dead! Unless...

Grab your shotguns, it's a ZOMBIE THREAD!!!
so, people compain to use the search bar when they post a thread about something that's allready been discussed....

then people complain about necroing threads when people use the search bar?

so in order to avoid necroing threads, they'd have to post a new thread on a subject that's allready been discussed then.... *head explodes*

When everyone and their grandma tells you how entertaining and funny and delightful it is, it is only natural that you'd expect it to be entertaining and funny and delightful.
It wasn't.

And yet you still have a pony badge? So that means that you either like the old serieses better, or you are trying to make an ironic statement. For or against.
