I'm a fanboy of MGS and will defend it to the death. Just you try and say the story doesn't make sense.
And I shall defend it with you, also I don't understand how people don't understand the story, it's quite simple!

And well yeah I'm a fanboy of plenty of things but I try to keep it under-wraps as to not troll and stuff!

No, but due to a poll with crappy options again, I went with "I dunno". I love the Final Fantasy series (except VIII), and especially VII. I have Advent Children on bluray, Dirge of Cerberus, and bought a PSP just for Crisis Core too. I don't consider myself a fanboy because I won't sit there and defend to the grave that they are the best games out there, plus I know some of the characters are stupid, annoying, and the game has flaws. Hell, I know a ton of people talk crap on them and instead of getting defensive I just say that I like them so meh.

Like Yahtzee points out, if you deny it, it's true.

"I'm not a fanboy."
"Yes, you are."

Yes, I am. About many things but being a fan is not the same as virtuously imposing your will on others.
Perhaps my definition is different.

I'm immune to console fanboyism.
When something loses exclusivity on another console, I go "Oh nice, I get to enjoy a new game."
When something loses exclusivity from my console, I go "Oh nice, more people will get to enjoy the game I liked."

But I am a Square-Enix fanboy. They can hypnotize me into buying any shit they produce. And I fight as much as I can.

i used to be a Halo fanboy, but that was back when halo was good, i.e. when there was only ONE. i even wrote flame mail to a contributor for Gamepro once.

now i'm not a fanboy to anything as i realise that many of the game franchises i liked end up letting me down. here is a short list.

Fable- the second one was ass. it had none of the things that made the first one and a half great.

Army of TWO-- almost ALL of the concept gear/weapons/vehicles/events were not in the final product.

Halo--promised MC battling on Earth to remove the covenant forces. got Keith David fighting the flood and 'heretic' Sanghelli.

Borderlands-- promised exciting combat and good story telling. got tedious grindquesting stupid anonymous textboard mission briefings and a cop out ending where the final boss is the treasure you were working so hard to unlock.

You've got my vote too! MGS4 does help to clarify MGS2 quite a lot to be honest and helps to tie up any other little mysteries too so now the entire saga does make sense as a whole.

I own all of Sony's consoles and I don't say anything bad about games on other consoles until I've had the chance to try them. I'll confess it was frustrating to see Ace Combat 6 go over to the other side, but on the same page I'll never get stupid and immature when a PS3 game turns out to be multi-format. It just means more people can enjoy the same game, nothing wrong with that.

I make the odd Xbox joke and a Wii jibe here and there but nothing to be taken to heart or directly meant to offend people and owners of said consoles. The reason why I don't own any other consoles outside of Sony's entourage is because I don't have an immediate desire to own any other specific games on the other consoles really, I'm happy with what I've got really

I am a Fan boy for certain series and things. One of them being Halo, and I do think of myself as a Halo Fan boy.
However, I think of myself as a fanboy in the sense that I like the series but will not get pissed off when someone says they do not like Halo (Or other series). Its all about personal preference and not everyone will like what I like.

Sure, I guess I'm an Elder Scrolls fanboy.

I've played all of the games in the Elder Scrolls series, except for Daggerfall. I tried downloading it a year or so ago, but I had some...problems, so I downloaded Arena instead.

Morrowind is still my favorite, and nothing will change that!
Unless...The Elder Scrolls V is VERY similar to Morrowind.

I'm not sure I'm a fangirl. I've joked about being a Valve fangirl but I don't have irrational love for all of their products. Portal was a very fun game but that was it. L4D1 and 2 I'd happily live without. TF2 enrages me as much as I love it. HL2 is my favourite FPS game but there's still things other games do better. Like not having antlion caves or Ravenholme.

The closest I come is Majora's Mask, I guess, but even then I know it's not perfect, it's just my favourite Zelda game.

Uhh... not sure.

If I can acknowledge the flaws in the things I love, am I still a fanboy?

it all just depends i suppose on your definition.

if someone doesn't like the games that i love with a passion, then i can deal with that, no one game is perfect nor meant for everyone. but if they sit there and bash the shit out of it and say what things that it really is good at are bad, then i might go on the offensive a bit about why those things are actually good.

but beyond that, i dont usually try and be fanboyish...i tend to really hate fanboyism (especially when they act like complete elitist dickholefuckfagasshats)

No, most games to me are very boring.
You only need to like 1 company/game to be a fanboy.

OT: Of Mafia, KotOR, and Valve in general.

i am a diehard PS3 fanboy. i however attempt to look at multiple sides of an argument and keep my flaming to a minimum so that our forum may grow and prosper.

and if you every mention FPS's without Battlefield (Bad Company2 at the moment :p) i will come over to your thread and fill it with jokes about "RC helicopters of death".

you have been warned...
