Yes, I'm a good one. A fairly understated one.

Fanboys are the reason why everything bad happens in this world. I really do not see a single reason why someone should constantly say that one console is better then the other even if it is so what? It's all a matter of personal choice.
Those aren't fanboys. Those are haters.

It's only a good thing when it's a healthy thing.

When it reaches the point that you can recite Star Trek episodes...from memory...backwards...in German...you may need to seek help.
I do not troll. It's my opinion. Feel free to disagree with me.
No honestly don't realize what you just said. You said that everything bad that happens on planet earth has happened because some dude said "360 ftw LOLZ". Also being a fan IS all about choice. So is a way, YOU are a fanboy.
I didn't literally meant it. Also how the hell am I a fanboy ? Yeah sure being a fan is about choice, but you do not need to force your choice upon others. Also how am I a fanboy ? Is it because I am a fan of personal choice ?

Like said above, haters are what you are thinking of. Fanboys just like a certian thing a little more then the average fan. I have never seen a fanboy come up to me and try to "convert" me to what he thinks. Also if you don't actually mean it, don't say it. Also, don't use my also move. It's kinda my personal signature.

I see fanboys as being not particularly different from nazis.

Hitler sucks, but nazis are totally hitler fanboiz. The jews are clearly awesome, but nazis just continue to hate on em til it gets totally out of control and America has to fly in and nuke Japan.

So listen up you microsoft\sony junkies-- your behavior may seem like fun now, but it is only going to end in Japan getting nuked.

I would say I was. I had since stopped seeing the point of blindly and aggressively pushing something onto people of a passive or indifferent nature.

Don't get me wrong, I will argue with people regarding certain things. Yet I try to remain fairly civil.

It depends on your level. I LOVE Lord of the Rings. You can call me a fanboy. But I won't take a bullet just to prove a hater wrong like some people will.
that is the definition of a good fan boy

i loved all Play Stations, i think it´s one of the greatest consoles there are, i love the blu ray and the length of its games (even when you had to play 5 discs in PSone) but i ended up having an XBOX because i wanted to play with my friends and they cant afford a PS3

whenever someone says something like "the fan boys are just because they couldnt afford the other consoles" makes me wrench, i would buy the PS3 if not because i have no real incentive of buying it, i probably will buy it later on when there are more games out, but for now, my XBOX is sufficient.

i can enumerate like a bizillion things of why i think the ps3 is better than the xbox, but i know some people dont like that, so i dont do it

still, i have a wii and love every Zelda/Metroid/Mario game there is, but i dont go on about it because people don´t like it.

perhaps a fan boy is not bad, i think the "Anti-fanboys" are the ones that crunch the experience for everyone else... or those that start with "this is tha S%&T and if anyone says otherwise he is stupid"

I've always seen fanboy used to refer to people who take being a fan too far, so I'd say it's a bad thing. Nothing wrong with being a fan, though.

Maybe I am thinking of haters however, in my experience people that I've talked who have 360's have always said that PC is "gay" and that I should get 360 because it's so much better. They might be just hatters however to me they seem more like fanboys. Also, my English skill stat is quite low. Also no, I like using word also.

i'm a fan of many things, but typically use basic common sense when interacting with other people and avoid making unsupportable claims about certain games, ie Halo, Fallout, CoD, in favor of judging games in there own merit.

Long story short, if I like a franchise, I will probably look at the next iteration, despite reviews/fanboyism and make my own judgement.

Same goes for Star Wars, prequel trilogy included. I love all six movies, and laugh at the campiness of the prequel trilogy and still admit it's nowhere near as good as the originals.
Me too, and proud of it. Star Wars fanboys unite!
I feel like we should all jump into our X-Wings and go fight the Death Star now.
You two do that- I'll hold off Darth Maul >=)

(Yes, I'll admit it, my favorite Sith Lord is Maul, simply for his sick skills with the double-bladed lightsaber)

I, generally speaking, consider the term "fanboy" to be a bad thing. This may just be because i'm a Transformers fan and a toy collector, which generally means i've seen the worst of the worst. The thing is, however, that most anything will have it's stark-raving-mad fans who foam at the mouth and will just about murder you for not liking their favorite game/movie/whatever the fuck, and those people are just plain loony. It's fine to like something very much, like I do with Ray Bradbury books, but if someone says they don't like the same thing don't try and bite their faces off....and I really hope that stays a metaphor.

Well, since I'm a girl I suppose I'd consider myself to be a good fangirl. I can love a series dearly but still admit and point out it's faults.

If you consider a fanboy to be someone who knows quite a bit more than necessary aboutut a game or series, then I would call myself a Silent Hill fanboy.

However, as much as I care for something I cannot turn a blind eye to its faults. (Silent Hill 4, most of the movie...)
