Pretty much always, on a rare occasion I may joke, or post lightly, but even my jokes tend to be thought out before posting.

But I'm sure pretty well anyone who reads my posts can see that I put thought into them.

Even when I'm just posting tongue-in-cheek sarcasm, I'm constantly trying to make a sentence less awkward to read. I make sure to read any post back before posting anything just to make sure I didn't leave a word out or make a typo. Also if a topic angered me, I start off posts more enraged than when I end them, so I need to go back and remove any direct insults.

Although, there was one time I didn't...

But when I'm actually being serious, I get even more meticulous. I'll search the web to make sure I'm not just talking out of my butt. I don't post many links and whatnot because I'm not trying to actually prove anything... but neither do I want to just be flat-out wrong or speak from ignorance.

I agree with l0ckd0wn. For political or economical topics, I will do a research or read up before commenting. However, for off-topics or casual chit chat, I will post whatever that comes into mind :)

Bacon!!

Also OT, depends on the scenario. I attempt to make a serious relevant post Cracked style. My humor chip has been failing recently though, and I haven't been that funny. Mostly because the topics here haven't been that foolish to me. So, despite my internal foolishness, I'm come off here as pretty serious, and hopefully, as someone who knows what the fuck it's talking about.

Having been a lurker on just about every forum I've ever been on until just recently, I usually stress out for about 15-30 full minutes after typing out a post (before I post it), trying to find anything I could have worded better, problems with the spelling/grammar, etc. Sometimes I make a more hasty post, but I generally go back and edit these afterwards if they do not meet my neurotic standards.
This, although I try to word it in a sort of lighthearted way. I try to make serious posts that have a sense of humo(u)r.

It depends on the topic really.

I haven't been able to post at all lately though. I think I'm getting Internet withdrawal.

Also, no one has noticed my absence, which is quite upsetting. What if I had been sick?!
If it's any consolation, I noticed you were gone. We tend to share opinions, so it was weird being ninja'd by other people.

Yeah, I'm never serious. I don't think I made one post without a joke or emoticon.

It depends. If I can make a good joke or participate in a good derailing, I'll do so, but if I can't, I'm still willing to post serious stuff.

I put a lot of thought into the stupid things I say on the Internet. It takes effort to be a towering monolith of dumb.

I chose the sometimes option. It really depends on the topic.

Most of all the fun ones I barely think at all. More major topics I do ponder over.

I'm going with the most serious and sensible answer in the poll. Bacon. It perfectly describes the types of posts I make. The more time I spend on a post the harder, crispier and crunchier it gets, the more serious and thoughtout the content will be. But the less time I spend the more raw and chewy it will be and the premise will be a lot more jokey.

Then again I have to cook my posts with the heat of the topic in consideration.
/silliness

Yes I just successfully attributed posting to cooking Bacon. Now someone needs to go and make another Bacon thread explaining why it's so great with this added to that list.

Really depends on the topic of the thread. I'm serious much more often that I kid around though.
Derailed a couple of "ignore this"-threads.

You clearly don't otherwise you wouldn't have put those inane fucking "goofy" options. It wasn't funny the first time someone did it, why would it be funny now?

But for the most part, no, I just shoot off with the first thought that comes to my head. I tend not to dwell on said thoughts because, seriously, who am I trying to impress? I'd probably try harder if you guys set the bar higher. It's a shame that my "not trying" is your "mediocre". It really is.
Has anyone ever told you how modest you are?

Oh, look. The actual Daystar! In my absence there seems to have been in influx of little Daystar babies.

Well if it makes you feel better when I left for six months nobody noticed, same when I left for three, and just about a month and a half ago I left for 2 weeks and nobody noticed either, not that it bothers me or anything...

But anyway I don't think most people notice someone is gone until it's brought up by someone else a couple of months later.

Simple.
Look at us.

Compare my manly and muscular exterior in comparison to your weak dainty limbs. Could you see me in a wedding dress and think, "Mhmm that looks fine" rather than "Fire & Brimstone! What is that?"

Just suck it up and deal with it - it'll make this marriage easier for you.

I like pretending that I'm serious when trolling console users, but then lay out some clues that I may be trolling just a bit ^^. Other that that I try to get my posts mature.
