I pretty much have a 'comedy sidekick' personality. So I'd say a bottom in a relationship. I have a very nasty temper though.

I prefer men who take the lead. I can be dominant and lead well if I need to. I just don't prefer it.

I'm kind of laid back. but I have had bad experiences with men so I tend to say sorry a lot and flinch if they move there arms around suddenly. If you get my drift. :<

Male bottom I guess.

I much prefer to be the supportive, helpful kind of guy over the assertive and dominant type.

Besides, nothing quite like a strong assertive woman.

How about the answer for people like me: I'm neither, because I have never been and will never be in a romantic relationship? Not all of us are blessed with good looks and nice personalities.
Not intending to troll or anything of that nature, but wouldn't this fall into either the no interest or no experience options? Or am I just so late to the party they came up after the post?

Male switch mostly by necessity. I'm very comfortable being on the bottom and most that comes with that, but the women I go for tend to want to be chased. I believe it was best said to me that, "[A women] wants to see the guy put some effort into [her]." Would be anywhere if not for trying. And that, of course, brings with it getting up after failures.

Yeah I get ya. It sucks when things are getting heavy and your partner thinks it would be funny to do their best impression of a wacky wavy inflatable arm flailing tube man :(

That's what we're talking about, right? Right?

Uh... I'm a bit inexperienced in such... activities. But if I were to engage in those... actions, I'd think I'd let her take control. She knows her body better than I do, and really, if I was in such a... situation, my goal would be to make sure she's in... full enjoyment, rather than myself.
This. Every single word of it. Unless she rather be on the bottom, of course.
Good to see that someone agrees. Of course, even if she did prefer to be on the bottom, I think [small](or really, hope)[/small] she'd understand, were it my first time, why I'd prefer to be on the bottom.

What, you wouldn't tell her? I'm not gonna lie to her, she's gotta know I've never preformed such... actions, before!

I'm a virgin so I wouldn't really know, but i'd think i'm versatile (a switch) because it seems boring to play the same role every time, then again that's just me, also just so's you know, i've only ever heard of being top or bottom in gay men I never knew it was a general dominance thing...

Personally I find myself mostly dominant regardless of my mate's gender ^.~ The Adepta Sororitas always strikes first.
I'm a bisexual male; very much a dominant top with both men and women. The thought of being the submissive partner doesn't do anything for me. This is lucky for me as both my wife and my male life partner are very submissive.

I've been called 'alpha-male' in our little family, 'patriarch', and other less complimentary names by those outside our circle who don't necessarily understand our dynamic... ;) Still, ask either of my partners if they would have it any other way and they will definitely tell you "no" - neither of them are attracted to submissive people.

More bottom, but I can dominate if someone asks. Though if it's a neutral party, I'll opt for being dominated.

Your poll is very flawed.

Im a male Top: 13.2% (27)

I'm a male Bottom: 16.1% (33)

How do you know which one is heterosexual or not? It makes a huge difference.

I don't believe it matters. The question is whether you're dominant or submissive in a relationship. Regardless of sexuality.

Normally in non sexual relationships (i.e friendship, work school etc) I usually end up taking control.

however in a relationship relationship setting (just the relationship in general not sex specifically) i think i could be classified more submissive because I want her to be happy :)

Male to and not ashamed! As long as it extends to romantic encounters only, otherwise I prefer an equal. For the former I have a collar that needs filling, the latter I like an equal to be my partner in crime : D

Of course it matters.

I'm sure that there are many more homosexual male bottoms than there are heterosexual male bottoms.
