What the dick is "single awareness day"?

I don't celebrate Valentine's day, because I'm not American. To me, if that's the only time people can find it in themselves to express to the people they love that they do so, these people need to re-evaluate their lives. Also, how sincere can any affection be if it's only prompted by "Oh, I guess I have to since it's Valentine's day".

Fuck that. Give your girl flowers on a tuesday in November, that'll show her you love her. Or take your significant other out to dinner on a friday evening because you wanna spend time with her. Valentine's day is for schmucks.

I'm 15 and have a boyfriend, but we got in a bit of a fight last night so I'm waiting for him to wake up to see what happens now that I've calmed down. I don't know what I'm hoping for though...I mean, I love the guy but still a little pissed off. I don't think we'll break up though so I guess it's more Valentine's day for me.
