*Cough*

Can we have a single, dedicated thread for these posts? The forum's front page is almost completely overrun with them.
Mass effect General? im not sure, the discussion would take wild swings, besides after the Skyrim blitz, I welcome the ME3 flood :D

Well in my case the risk of disapointment isn't much of a risk as much as a garentee. Origin only for PC release. They could not disapoint me more.

There is a Mass Effect edition of RISK? *gasp* Is it set in the first contact war era because that would be sooooo awesome!

I'd be more excited for a Mass Effect Chess set but RISK is pretty cool too.

Since when did buying a video game turn into purchasing a car? It's a VIDEO GAME, if you don't like it then you can take it back. Who cares about the "risks" of purchasing the game if you think it will bring you enjoyment, who cares about the reputation of the company producing it, it's not like they can get any more money out of you after you buy the game if you don't like it. And you're out $60, big deal, that's not a huge amount of money, and you can continue on with your life afterwards.

I loved the first two, and I really want to find out how the story ends (even if the game does end up sucking).

I've put way too many hours into the series already, not buying the last game wouldn't make sense. Also, I am not a member of the risk group. I'm not exactly a BioWare fanboy (Dragon Age II still gathering dust in the games bin), but the Mass Effect series has always delivered. I have no doubts that I'll buy it. Seeing as how I've got it pre-ordered.

Also, it's totally lame that pre-ordering in Finland doesn't give me anything special.

Considering I have enjoyed TOR, ME3, DA2 and most every other Bioware game there is lately (though not blindly, I know well the flaws of any of these games, yet still appreciate the stories they tell), I am well aware of the risks and will still be getting my pre-ordered N7 Collectors Edition of Mass Effect 3. After 27 Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 runs getting my choices all perfected and how I desire them for the final installment, I refuse to back out now. For better or for worse.

So, the first option for me!

I have also read not one of the spoilers leaked so far. Because, you know, I'd rather have the full and finished game speak for itself, rather than allowing the internet to pollute things before they come..

Mass Effect RISK? I'd play the shit out of that. You should talk to EA, theres a buck to be made there so they'd be all over it.

Nice Scud avatar by the way.

I was unaware that optional DLC counted as a "Risk".

It's a day 1 purchase. Been waiting 2 years to play this game.

When I saw this thread, I literally said, "Huh?" I clicked it because I wanted to see what risks you were talking about. Guess you have a different idea of risk than I do. I do agree that the game not living up to my expectations is a risk, but that risk is so small that it may as well not be there. Unless they have Shep die (or Liara) no matter what you do, it will meet my expectations.
Just playing the demo I was going, "Ah! Look at that! Yes! Ah! AH! AAAAHHHH!! Need game NOW!"

I object to the options. I'm aware of the "details". I will buy it. I know what I'm getting and there is no risk.

Actually, given the prior experience with the ending of ME2, I will acknowledge the potential risk of a repeat completely retarded plot point, but I will buy it regardless.

I see no 'Risk' in this. As long as the dialogue shortage in the Demo was due to demo size limits (Which really, it'd be stupid of Bioware to make the full game have that little dialogue), what I have seen so far will be very enjoyable. And Origin is not a downside. Seriously, its Steam from EA with stupid pricing. Big whoop.

God, I really hate gamers sometimes. All this hate over every little thing with ME3 is getting annoying. Everyone acts like Bioware is the devil and that when you install Origin your PC explodes. Guess what, nerdlings? I've had Origin for like half a year and my laptop works fine. ME was amazing. ME2 was amazing. I have no doubts ME3 will be the same. People just seem to want to convince themselves it will blow for some reason, the way to jump on every single detail like a bunch of ants on a burger. There's no more "RISK" to buying ME3 than any other game, stop being so hyperbolic.
