Of all the things to call Apple out on, this isn't it. Sleek interfaces and OSs that are actual improvements to the previous version on launch are some of the few things that Apple does quite fantastically.Spartan1362 said:I just vomited in my mouth a little.Kevon Huggins said:I also demoed it to some non-computer savvy personnel and the liked its ease of use and quick access quote end quote "Simplistic easy to use design that rivals my mac " as one said
I despise the Macification of Microsoft.
Simply put, it turns your Desktop into a touch screen mobile phone interface.Jaeke said:Someone give me the short version, I've heard bad things but still don't fully understand why W8 is being crucified.

You can install WMC through add features in the release preview. Apparently it was going to be a paid addon for the full version but it looks like it's still gonna be a free download (with the $40 upgrade from xp/vista/7 to 8 pro, anyway).octafish said:(minus WMC but there are alternatives)
I had heard that it would be in Pro but not Home. If I can get WMC in Widows8 Home I'll have no hesitation using it for my living room PC. Still not sure if I'll be able to get it with the upgrade from the Peview though. I want hold onto my 32 bit XP license for a little longer.xXSnowyXx said:You can install WMC through add features in the release preview. Yeh I don't think it's free with home, but the $40 upgrade is for pro and you can upgrade from the preview as long as you have a cd key for a previous version, though apparently you lose all of your system files and settings in the upgrade unfortunately. Not sure if you lose the use of the old key though, you might want to see if you have any spares laying around.octafish said:I had heard that it would be in Pro but not Home.
