I would say I am a socialist and I do also admire the ideals of Communism, which I would like to add, has never actually been implemented.
Because communism requires everyone to think/act the same or work towards an identical end, it can only be brought about by everyone thinking the same(not gonna happen) or a all powerful idealist perfect government.(also not gonna happen) I don't admire communism in the least I feel it robs individuality, rather making everyone a singular collective entity. At least thats how I perceive it
I view Communism and Socialism as ways on removing class and notions of superiority from the human race, but that's just what I take from it.

I don't believe a complex political opinion can be represented on a purely linear scale if on a scale at all.

Your choices are poor.

Anyways, I suppose I am more of a libertarian. I tend to lean towards liberal views on social choices, while I tend to side with conservatives on economic choices.

I don't think there is a place for a very lightly socialist imperialist in your scale.

Also, where do you go if you're Pro-Combine?

Hmm but to remove a class you have to first take them down would you not? So i'm a doctor make 200k a year with a nice house, under this idea of total equality I would be a doctor making 30k a year just like the guy who sells TVs at walmart. To remove class is to remove desire and drive. If you take away my ability to improve myself why would I do anything more than enough to exist? This is a flaw of communism, people are lazy if harder work provides nothing extra to themselves then guess what they wont work hard, why become a doctor if working at gamestop provides the same level of existence ? answer is you wouldn't (unless you just had some crazy passion for helping people) so there has to be a government to say hey you become a doctor, you become an electrical engineer, you work on a farm. Because without incentive no one strives to be better, Because of this government man is then controled, constrained, and no longer free.
Still sound like a good system?

It like many other systems sound good on paper but can not work in real life. To achieve communism everyone would have to think the same(in end goals at least) they would have to have people that didn't mind extra work for no benefit. but everyone doesn't think along the same lines which is why you would need a totalitarian government to even have a semblance of communism.

Like it or not class is something that will always exist, at least until we reach a level where no human has to work ever, and even then class will exist in that some will be leaders some will be followers.

If there was a version of communism that united the human race through their differences (as opposed to everyone being the same), it might just work.

"Hey, we're all different, yeah? Okay, that's cool. But we all need stuff right? You could all have the stuff you need if you shared out your wealth with each other, you'd all still be you, but you'd all also have what you need. The stuff you WANT? Well, you gotta work for that... but that's normal, so you're normal. Don't worry."

You get what I mean?

I do get what you mean, and its a bit idealist. But whatever floats your boat, personally I couldn't take it though.

i dont understand why everyone tries to be part of a gang "i'm a republican, i'm a democrat, i'm conservative, i'm a liberal" it's bullshit!

be a person and listen. listen to the argument of the situation proposed, because anyone who makes up their mind before they hear the issue is a damn fool.

i have a friend, who chooses the liberal approach to an issue, just because he wants to identify himself as a liberal, even if he doesn't agree with it.

like, shut the fuck up, listen, take away any party biases, and decide on an issue without letting yourself be influenced by "well how would this make me look as a yadda yadda yadda???"

I object to nationalism being labeled extreme right, you obviously are imposing your bigotry on this poll. therefore this poll and all discussion associated with it are skewed.

Even worse is the insinuation that people on the far right are automatically fascist. Excuse me? You don't buy into a "package of beliefs" when you get involved with politics-you pick and choose based on the individual issues.

I don't know exactly where I sit. I tend to agree with the need for governmental regulation and watchdog groups, but sit on the conservative side of the fence when moral issues get dragged into politics.

Centre-left. I find I agree more with the left on most issues, but I always try to examine arguments from both sides and I have in the past sided with the right on some topics.

To be honest I think too much of either side can be a problem, I mean I've seen all sorts of douchebaggery from both sides, be it unworkable conservative social/economic fundamentalism or unworkable left wing extremism. Both sides are catastrophic when taken to extremes, and both sides are filled with mindless followers who tow the party line without thinking twice about it.
