Your poll needs work.
There are two basic axes of politics nowadays. Social and fiscal. There are two ways of approaching each thing: Liberal (The government plays a big role) and Conservative (The government plays a small role)
Libertarian is conservative towards both.
Fascist is liberal towards both.
Democrats are fiscally liberal, and socially conservative.
Republicans are fiscally conservative, and socially liberal.
I myself am a Demmykat.

I'm a socialist with some conservative and libertarian views, it really depends on the issue but I generally prefer socialism on most matters.

I'm neither. I believe in a healthy mix of Libertarianism and Fascism, an ideology of my own that I haven't had the chance to write down yet. But I do believe in complete laissez-faire capitalism, science that is not bound by the petty idea of morality for the betterment of mankind, equality among all without favouritism for minorities, Social Darwinism, strong but small government, high police presence to protect the citizens but not limit them, and a liberal use of the death penalty.

So I guess I would be "conservative" if you wish. But that implies that I'm religious, anti-gay, and pro-life. Which I'm definitely not.

I think it goes more out to liberal. I just think two terms are way too few. Anyway, conservatives piss me off to no end, so I picked liberal.

[small]Shouldn't this be in the Religion and Politics section?[/small]

OT: Since my beliefs can't be summed up by those narrow-minded terms, I'm other.

Economically, I'm conservative. Socially, I'm more moderate.

I don't really identify with any party though, the two major parties are just trying to outspend each other.

Fascist, socially and fiscally liberal? I think not. I agree with the distinction between social attitudes and fiscal policies, but it's not really true that 'conservative' and 'small government/little intervention' or 'liberal' and 'big government/greater intervention' are interchangeable.

Neither, because no political party or concept holds my ideals. Also, all political parties are corrupt, no one is better than the other. I'd rather make decisions based on the merits of the person themselves as a whole, not what party they belong to.

not really one or the other, my views can't really be pigeon-holed into one category or the other.

Why do I have to be either? What about people who are fiscally conservative and socially liberal? You cannot say that your ideology is conservative or liberal, unless you believe in the conservative view for every aspect of government, and the liberal view for every aspect of government. For instance, I am a libertarian, so I am fiscally conservative, but socially liberal. Liberal vs. Conservative isn't like black and white, btw.

A moderate liberal, I suppose. I only really pay attention to the social issues of politics, so I might have different views in other areas.
