Hahaha, no! I'm known for being the weird-funny guy. That's mainly because I find humor in just about everything. Anyone that questions whether something is humorous or insensitive is a hypocrite, unless they're a humorless saint that would never laugh at anyone's misfortunes.
The latest reason to dislike me is the following: Local kid commits suicide, and it's made public nowhere else than, Facebook! So a friend and I start snooping on the kid's profile; we hardly knew the kid. We notice how so many kids are paying their condolences and are posting "RIP" in their status update. It's ridiculous; it's like they have to prove to the whole world how much they "liked" this kid, no matter how well they knew him. This is further exampled when some random kid post on the deceased's wall, "how did he die?"
- My friend and I laughed. That random kid is a badass. You know when you have a war veteran visit your school, but no one dares to ask if he killed anyone. This kid has the balls to ask! Hilarious. -
After this finding, we search deeper, finding hints of his suicide. - "I can't wait until Friday!" - Of course people commented on his status with a thumbs up, liking it, and others asking what he was talking about. Little did they know..., again, funny. And here's a kicker, about a few weeks before his suicide he posted that he had "issues" and his older brother responded with, "Kill yourself, it's the easiest way out." ZING!!! Irony!
I figured, maybe another friend might share my humor. I was wrong; through the grapevine, I was labeled as an asshole within the day. Whatever, not much I can do about it. I just have a different thought process.
