That is said from more of a high schooler's point of view. Since I feel these types of threads are directed at them. Still, if everyone hated you, you would care.

More or less, I'm just considered the smart asian kid over there.

I guess I have a couple friends, but overall I probably go unnoticed except when someone tries to mess with me or I try to say something funny.

I really care about commanding some respect than socially acceptance but I haven't gotten to far in the former.

There's a difference between being an introvert and being an outcast. I am introverted. I wish I was fat, ugly, and disgusting looking so people would leave me alone and wouldn't expect anything of me. However, I'm none of those things so people expect me to be everywhere and do everything and be friendly with everyone. Maybe I should start biting. No body likes a biter.

No.
Why? I'm autistic
Hey, my friend is as well. He has a mild form of it. He was some weird ticks, like messing around with numbers, memorizing random shit, and is very introverted. I'm one of the few people that knows of his "condition," most people just think he's a bookworm. I'd have to say though, his autism might have something to do with why he's so knowledgeable. He tells me it's impossible for him be bored, which is why (I guess) he reads so much.

i don't have many close friends, but i tend to be quite quiet around new people, so whilst not offending them i find few people really grow close..

as a whole once i feel more comfortable and able to talk i am accepted by people, but am too restless to stay in one group

so i am accepted, but not closely.

i dont care anyways =)

I could hardly care if I'm socially accepted. Fortunately, that's one of the prerequisites for BEING socially accepted; complete, utter, aloofness.

I don't think society even knows I exist.

So yeah, I guess they eccept me.

I'm going to say that I am, but that I really don't care either way. I have my friends, I don't need the entire world.

I don't know. I am technically introvert, but my large stature (physically) affects my popularity. I don't know how it affects it, since i made a short kid become scared of me permanently by giving him the pencil he accidentally dropped on the floor.

I wouldn't say that I'm NOT accepted, but I am fairly sure that the majority of my friends including my girlfriend have little to no respect for me. They seem to treat me like the annoying little brother that hangs around the big kids.

No, society doesn't embrace it's misanthropes within open arms. My friends are among the people whom can listen to me rant ceaselessly about the failings of humanity, the meaningless existance we all pepper with false importance, injustice and morality, sexuality and ethics and and then a steady stream of bitterness towards everyone. However my answer to your question was a lie. We all without knowledge of or intent to, conform to a socially accepted human being. Non conformists fall comfortably into the most definable social circles of all. Thus the futility of existance. So I apologize for lying. I fall into the niche of my existance with a circle of friends that happen the have been born on the same corner of this sphere.
