Dunmer. I like them, and I like how old they look. The idea of some crazy old coot becoming the greatest assassin anyone has ever known appeals to me.

I have played as every race, but my absolute favorite is Imperial, as I enjoy using Speechcraft in the games.

I am always either a barbarian type or a dwarf in fantasy games, I have no time for your poncy spells and bows... I need little more than a mighty axe and a flagon of ale!

(Actually I recently restarted Oblivion as a Redguard with the intention of making a ranger-style character, wandering round the forests hunting and mastering alchemy, but I got bored and he's just a straight up warrior now).

Argonian mostly since lizard people rule and thy get a lot of decent abilities like breathing under water and resit disease.

I played Wood Elf before finding a mod that combined Wood Elves with Khajiit and gave the race decent magic defense.(25 magic absorb on top of the default Wood Elf/Khajiit racials)

I should really install Oblivion again. Hell, I still have that DLC that was free for about a week on a backup CD somewhere.

Wood elves were the best for me. I pretty much maxed out sneak and marksman in the first few levels (I dont level much, it makes life easier for stealth characters) so I could 1-hit almost every enemy with a bow. I could also stealth in front of people and not be spotted even after firing, so it was beast. next would be a breton mage, played him ridiculously offensive because its the most fun

I remember when I became a vamprie, I didnt know I was becoming one until I was getting hurt by the sun. it was a very long and annoying quest to return me. I wouldnt have been had I done it earlier.

Argonians all the way! They were an instant favorite as soon as I started Oblivion the first time. Most of my characters are Argonian with the exception of one who is a Nord.

A Breton. You get a bonus to Magicka(50 points), and you get a 50% resistance to it. They're the best magic users in the game in my opinion(the High Elves are just too flawed in my eyes).

Argonians are best suited as thieves, so I play as them. Bretons when I want to play as mage.

Argonians straight up. I love their names, especially in Morrowind - Only He Stands There - What a guy.

Dark elves usually. I like the combination of skill benefits they have.

I almost always play my main character as a Breton. I love playing a magic user, but I hate the weaknesses you get as a High Elf or a Dark Elf. That way I still end up with magical bonuses, plus magic resistance!
