I mean, first we can't claim to be offended "as gamers" as, clearly, the site was a massive success... So, at best, we'd be hypocrites.

Second... Who cares? It seems like a pretty stupid waste of money, but honestly, aren't there far worse things in the world to complain about? They're not hurting anyone, and clearly there are people interested in the service...

I'm not insulted on it persay, i'm just disapointed that people would even try to use it in the first place. It just seems to give gamers a worse image than we already have.

The issue comes when companies are assuming that gamers are going to want/need this stuff more than anyone else.

Well, in that case, I would agree with Gamecrush. Because I know of a few shut-in gamers who do probably need this more than a lot of other people.

Fact of the matter is there are a great many gamers out there that are unsocial and aren't particularly good with women (and possibly a few game-girls with men).

But I don't think Gamecrush assumes we're ALL like that. Just that there's enough of us out there like that to make some profit from. And the fact that their site has hits going through the roof is evidence of that, surely (if their reasons for servers being down are to be believed)?
