I'd rather play a thousand more Assassin's Creed games featuring Ezio than sit through a single AC with Altair again.

I'm not against introducing new characters, mind.

while ezio is a nice character using him again and again means being stuck in the same time period and that sucks. unless ezio finds some kind of ancient animus and we play Desmond reliving ezio reliving some else.

Fuck! No! Eastern Europe needs to fuck off in the Assassins Creed games (Well, and the middle East, in one game). Seriously, go to Japan, or New Zealand....somewhere different. Etzio is not a bad character, but felt like Assassins Creed 3, and also had a shit ending. 3 will have to be in a different time period, different country/culture altogether, and actually make sense for me to really enjoy it. I was pretty tired of Brotherhood about halfway through it. Although I did like the ability to leave the Animus and run around a modern area, that was cool.

Firstly: It's not Assassins Creed 3. Technically Brotherhood was the third game.

Secondly: It's not Assassins Creed 3. Assassins Creed 3 will be titled "Assassins Creed 3". This is just the third game in the Ezio triliogy.

New Zealand aye? Enlighten me, how would this play out?
I'm honestly intrigued. Besides, I'd love for a game to be set in my home country for once!

It seems a bit lazy to invent a technology that can take the player anywhere in time and then just make him run around in the Renaissance for three games. They should have just dropped the whole sci-fi thing and made a series about Ezio if they like him so badly.

I loved Ezio in AC2. The problem with him in Brotherhood was not that the character was bad or had even grown worst, it was the sense that his story was over. With saw Ezio age and mature as a character in AC2, but the end of that game and the beginning of Brotherhood he must have been 30 something. I have no idea how old he was by the end of Brotherhood but I'll tell you, he didn't develop at all as a character in that game. He just grew older and the plausability of him still pulling this crazy shit off grew weaker.

Also...What the fuck is with setting it in the same time frame AGAIN! It was a bad idea for Brotherhood but this is just taking the piss. Assassins Creed has such protential as a franchise; you could set the game in any time you want unyet they keep returning to the same damn time zones! It's like if Doctor Who spent a whole series in modern times.

...Wait, didn't Doctor Who actually do that? Whatever, it's still such a waste of protential.

It's a sad truth really...Ubisoft kinda fell in love with their character, that's all it really is.
I'll agree the facebook game was crap, but it's nice that they were wanting to reach a wider audience.
And Ezio, He has fan and then he has FANS, that would happily follow him to AC 10, and I'll admit it I am one, but it doesn't blind me from seeing the potential damage that Ubisoft's constant parading of their cover boy is doing.

But now...Ezio's going to get old...and many of his fans will leave him. Ubisoft will have created a sad end for their beloved character in respect to the fans reaction.

What doesn't make sense to me is this isn't even farming the cash cow like Brotherhood was. Brotherhood was using the same assets and so on from AC2, it was a blatant money grab. This game will be set over multiple time zones in a completely different part of the world, they won't be saving any money here. This is just a blatant lack of creativity.

Honestly I've always wanted AC to be set over multiple time zones, looking at the same enviroment from different points in time. And using Atire and Ezio is a great way to do that. The problem is there's no one new here to balance it out, what could have felt fresh with a touch of recognition for old characters just feels mundane.

Well hopefully the game will have equal amounts of gameplay for the 3 characters. I liked Ezio, but after 2 games, I don't want more of him, but I understand that they need to finish of Altair's and Ezios's stories before starting a new assassin

Also, this isn't AC3 people, this is Assassins Creed : Revalations

Although I like Ezio, as a lot of side-characters kept mentioning in Brotherhood, he's getting on in age a bit isn't he! Soon he'll be like, "oh I can't climb that wall today, my arthritis has flared up again".
He does look alot older in the teaser trailer #4, and his robes have even changed from white, to brown.

Wasn't the big appeal of Assassins Creed that each game let you jump into a different point in history, with a different character, while still maintaining a cohesive all inclusive overarching storyline to connect them all?

Ezio shouldn't have been brought back in Brotherhood, neither Ezio nor Altair should be brought back for Revelations. Desmond and the other "Real World" characters should be the only ones sticking around.

They should've went straight to Assassins Creed 3, with a new character.

You know, I was one of the most vocal haters of Altair as a horribly acted and immensely irritating and unlikeable character, but I'm getting to a point where I'd much rather have his blandness back than keep seeing Ezio again, who I previously really liked, and still kind of do, honestly. I don't think I would be so sick of Ezio if it weren't for the fact that the very appeal of Assassin's Creed as a series is getting to play different people and travelling to different periods in history.

Setting three games in the same era with the same character is the opposite of what this series should be doing.

EDIT:

I love Ezio to bits, but it still feels as if they're milking him for all he's worth. I didn't have the energy to finish AC:B so count me out for Revelations.

Where's the option "I really LIKE Ezio, but his story should've ended with AC:B and not dragged on."? Cause I can't be the only one voting for that one.

In Revelations, he looks like he's 60 years old. Jesus Ubisoft, give the poor man a break already! You know what they say "If you Love 'em, set 'em free." ....or sth like that.

I can't help but wonder that we'll only get a new assassin when they're allowed to have more than one year to develop the next game.
