Has there been any word on the protagonist of Assassin's Creed III? I personally don't want him to, he's had his turn, let a new one come in!

Im pretty sure Assassin's Creed III will be set in a different time period to Assassin's Creed II, my guess is it will be set either in an Aztec/Mayan Civilisation or Soviet Russia. Per chance you mean Assissin's creed Brotherhood, i think this will have good oll Ezio.

No I've already got Brotherhood, it's good to flesh out his story a little more but if they do that for characters, definitely keep it to spin offs.

i dont really know what else is there to talk about with Ezio. but i dont know about everyone else but what about Russia theres a Comic about the 'Fall of the Creed] ]i think that name is right] coming out based in russia so that might interest me.

i would like to see a female assassin too that could be interesting and Desmonds reaction coming in and out of the animus. [laughs] i could just imagine why do i feel lighter? why do i have boobs? WHat if one of my memories make me pregnant? sorry i ranted

But i wouldn't mind knowing how Ezio and Altiar are related wait i mean how do they connect and how did Altair blood line get to Italy.

but thats just me

It was all a dream.
Directed by M. Night Shyamalan.

No I kid but I think I was wondering that at one point as well. How does it get from the Middle East, to Italy to the USA? PLOT is how.

I heard from a couple of sources that Ubisoft was thinking of setting it in Feudal Japan. You know, when there was heaps of ninjas and samurais? That would be awesome, plus they better make a female assassin this time because they're hot. In any case, since i don't have a PS3 or XBOX360, i still have to wait around 3 months for the game to arrive in PC format. God damn DRM.

I want someone to come out of another animus which was controlling Desmond. Now that would be an epic twist.

Either that or playing as Desmond the asassin

...I want Assassin's Creed 3 just to be Desmond's story leading up to... that special day mentioned in the end of AC2.

...I don't know of any plot developments in Brotherhood. I need to get that game. *sigh*

...Am I weird for just wanting Desmond to be the sole playable protagonist in AC3?

Assassins Creed 3 is technically Brotherhood. Though for a game that actually espouses itself as Assassins Creed 3 on the box? I'm thinking modern day, Desmond and his company mostly for the main storyline. Ezio was the last major, public ancestral assassin in Desmond's family line, if I'm correct.

I think they've done all they need to do with the animus personally since they know the locations of all the temples and also due to the bleed effect, Desmond is now assassin extraordinaire. So, I'm hoping Assassin's Creed III is going to tie up Desmond's story, and involve doing some assassinations in near future scenarios. I think it will be interesting when people are running around with double super BFG 9000's and you're still using your puny hidden blade.

It would be good to get out of temples and ancient settings for some of the game even if we're still collecting all his predecessors maguffins at some point.

I just beat brotherhood, and without spoiling anything, let's just say in AC1 the thought of a probable sequel revolving around Desmond was hugely offsetting to me. Now I'm really hoping that's where it'll go. Though regardless of where the sequel goes, I've seen enough of Renaissance Italy. Ezio is awesome, but after 2 games he's had his run.

If you are going by released games, Brotherhood is something like 5 or 6. It's basically Assassin's Creed II 2. Or maybe 2.5

I'm relatively sure in Assassin's Creed Bloodlines you see Altair go to Cyprus, and from there he has a relationship with... Maria? And then heads to Italy from there.

I think I've figured out what Minerva was talking about...2012. That's what year Desmond is in.

Technically "Brotherhood" is Assassin's Creed 4. I think you're forgetting about "Bloodlines" (PSP only) Which followed Altair's story.

I like Ezio, but yeah. I think the next one should either be Desmond or a female assassin. Altair got 2 games, Ezio should get 2 games.

Nah they need to move on to a different era.
I loved AC2 and really want ACB but yeah would be better if they used a different era, no idea which one like but yeah, a modern one would be cool, running across rooftops of skyscrapers, would be pretty awesome.

I do distinctly remember hearing that AC:B is not called AC3 because it still has Ezio, and they would only call it AC3 if there was a new assassin and a new time period.
