Don't know about Assassin's Creed 3, but I'm somewhat intrigued by the comic spinoff 'Assassin's Creed: The Fall' that's set in Imperial Russia. (Partly because I'm a Russian Literature nut and partly because I'm a fan of the artist, Cameron Stewart.) Gotta say, though, that hood only gets more and more ridiculous-looking the further you get from the middle ages.

The comic gives a tiny hint. It shows an assassin during russian communist rule. There's a small chance you would be reliving his memories if Ubi confirms the comic has something to do with ACIII
The comic's meant to be an independent project, actually. Canon, but not related to any game.

That would be pretty cool. Jumping around Red Square.
I just remeber a piece of Concept art posted a while ago here on the Escapist showing an Assassin with Pyramids and a large red sun in the background. So thats me jumping to the conclusion of Jpan and Egypt. Russia would be sweet too.

Im pretty sure Assassin's Creed III will be set in a different time period to Assassin's Creed II, my guess is it will be set either in an Aztec/Mayan Civilisation or Soviet Russia. Per chance you mean Assissin's creed Brotherhood, i think this will have good oll Ezio.
In soviet russia, assassin kill YOU,

sorry that was my 1'st attempt at one

As much as I love Ezio, I think he's had his time in the sun; now's probably the best time to let somebody else take to the floor.

I'm personally hoping it's set in Victorian England, with only one target; Jack the Ripper.

C'mon, the idea of a top-hatted assassin against history's most infamous serial killer is a pretty damn awesome one, don't you think?

I think there are 3 historical situations where the next Assassins Creed can draw benefit from:
1) French revolution
2) British civil war
3) American revolution.
All 3 have historical dark sides to explore. (like they did in Assassins Creed 2) and can use historical relvant cities and situations.

Well seeing as how Desmond is all training how to be a fancy pants assassin person and get revenge on vidic, or whatver his name is, i think AC3 will be set in 'modern day-near future' setting that desmond is in. perhaps he will continue trainign and try to hunt down vidic..unless half the game is animus, the other half his hunt for vidic irl. either way. im not too excited about it.. i loved AC2 however. they should really bring some NEW gameplay and then maybe it will b e cool and refreshing

Hell no.
I didn't like him.
Altair was an arrogant bastard initially, and a sad bastard in the end, but I still thought he was waaay cooler then Ezio.

Also:
In Soviet Russia, everything is true, nothing is permitted.

New Character.
If they set it in the future their going to have to do some changes to gameplay e.g. what do you leap of faith into?

Well, I'm not going to be playing it, so doesn't matter to me. The first and second ones were boring, so not going to even try anymore.

i dont really know what else is there to talk about with Ezio. but i dont know about everyone else but what about Russia theres a Comic about the 'Fall of the Creed] ]i think that name is right] coming out based in russia so that might interest me.

i would like to see a female assassin too that could be interesting and Desmonds reaction coming in and out of the animus. [laughs] i could just imagine why do i feel lighter? why do i have boobs? WHat if one of my memories make me pregnant? sorry i ranted

But i wouldn't mind knowing how Ezio and Altiar are related wait i mean how do they connect and how did Altair blood line get to Italy.

but thats just me
I think more people would be offended by the "gender confusion" or whatever.

Anyway, hasn't it been made clear already we're getting Desmond in III and that's that?

I really don't want Desmond to be the main playable character in the next one. It would stink a great deal.

A female assassin, in the Russian Empire. That would be a large portion of ass-kickery.

Egypt seems likely as well. :)

I think I recall the devs (being big history buffs I assume) wanting to do feudal Japan next in several interviews.

As much as i'd like him to be i'm fairly sure he won't be, Ubisoft have already said, when talking about brotherhood, that it didn't have a number on it because to put a number on the title would mean they'd have to move it to another time period with a new assassin.

Ezio was fun for a while but if getting rid of him means i get to find out what happens after Brotherhood's dick of a cliffhanger, then im glad he died hundreds of years ago.

I don't see how a modern day or future assassin would work. Now we have motion trackers, security cameras, night and heat goggles and guns. The gameplay would have to be drastically overhauled. It would play more like Splinter Cell than Assassin's Creed.

Ot: I hope they go to a different time period, so Ezio wouldn't work.

Well there is going to be some upset people.

I hate the way both proper assassins have cool names (Ezio and Alitar) then the present guy is Desmond ... I mean come on!

I am loving the game though, it seems to have taken the comments about the previous games and made those improvments.

More vehicle sections, more things to spend your money on, harder missions, harder tomb raider bits, harder to get better gear.

Has there been any word on the protagonist of Assassin's Creed III? I personally don't want him to, he's had his turn, let a new one come in!
I assumed it would be Desmond doing missions as well as some counterpart from Japan.

Ezio has had 2 games already and as mush as i love him its time for his story to end, which is what Brotherhood did.

AC3 should have another 'futile soil' area of history that games (and media in general) haven't touched that much.

the french revolution would be a good one as almost everyone has mentioned but i got an idea myself.

have the ancestor take place some place during the late 1800 early 1900s, and do what AC2/Brotherhood did with Di Vinci and do it for BOTH Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla, having them be the inventors for their respective sides of the Assassin-Templar war.

if memory serves the subject 16 puzzles in AC2 mentions that Tesla/Edison are Templar/Assassin Respectfully (could have them mixed up) so some of the premise is already cannon in the AC universe. But come on, "death-rays" are the perfect device for an EVIL Organization bent on world domination to make and have Assassins come in to destroy in order to save humanity. Its Perfect AND hasn't been touched in games/movies that much if at all. as well as some of this advanced technology being easily connected to pieces of Edan.
