Ezio's tale is pretty much over. As well as the use of the Animus.

Still, considering the end of Brotherhood (I'm not spoiling...), I have NO idea just what's going to happen. Still, I think they should wrap up Desmond's story.

That being said, now that any point in history onward involves guns, I'm curious to see how they'll equip Desmond or any future Assassins if they come up with an excuse to use the Animus again.

Was it confirmed that it was a trilogy? If so then I agree with wrapping up Desmond's story, in Assassin's Creed I and II I hated playing as Desmond because it was so boring but I'm actually enjoying his parts in Brotherhood because he's actually gaining a personality.

The developers have already said that they want AC: 3 to be about a new assassin, hence they released Brotherhood to give more story about what Ezio did after AC: 2.

I just want my questions answered about 'The Truth' and 'Those who cam before'. I would love if it was set in the garden of Eden so we can see what happens... or if we found more out about subject 16.

I don't want Ezio to be in AC III. He's got AC II and Brotherhood. Also, I want to see a new time period, something like 18th Century London could be very interesting.

Though Brotherhood counted as 3rd. Oh well, I'd like to go 19th century England or something and maybe have a chat with Jack the Ripper.

Nah, I reckon he's had an awesome run. I've just gotten into Ass Creed Brotherhood and it's pretty awesome.
I heard rumors that it may be set in egypt? That'd be cool, tho I'm always hoping for a Japanese spin-off. Having a completely new modern protagonist could give a fresh take and a different angle on the AC world.

Persoanlly, I have my hopes up for either ancient Egypt, 1500s Spain (watch the intro scenes in 'The Road to El Dorado', you'll understand) or 1800s Russia. All would be awesome. :D

I like Ezio but I think it will be a new one because the game will probably play in a different time again. I think it might be the Victorian era of the United Kingdom.

I'd love Victorian London to live out my jack-the-hidden-blade-ripper fantasies (no I'm not crazy), but what about British controlled India? Could have a lot of potential running through slums, knifing mercenaries of the East India Company or dodging Thuggees (think that's how you spell it) while hunting down a Rajah that's been taxing his people to support a plot to kill a French dignitary and spark a conflict between two mighty empires. Doesn't that sound appealing to you?

The developers have specifically said that numbered sequels will always be in new settings with new characters, etc, hence Brotherhood not being a numbered sequel.

And I think its right that way, AC's biggest strength is that it can be set pretty much anywhere it wants to be :p

Assassins Creed 3 is technically Brotherhood. Though for a game that actually espouses itself as Assassins Creed 3 on the box? I'm thinking modern day, Desmond and his company mostly for the main storyline. Ezio was the last major, public ancestral assassin in Desmond's family line, if I'm correct.
Technically "Brotherhood" is Assassin's Creed 4. I think you're forgetting about "Bloodlines" (PSP only) Which followed Altair's story.
[a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assassin's_Creed:_Altaïr's_Chronicles"]You forgot one[/a].

I think of the handheld ones as expansions to the first game, and Brotherhood as an expansion to the second. They just don't call games expansions any more to make people think they're putting more effort in than they actually are.

Assassins Creed III should cap off the series; it should be set either in the future, (completing Desmond's story) or way back in the past, in the garden of Eden. Knowing more about subject sixteen wouldn't hurt either; I've got my fingers crossed that it's Altair, who has found a way to become immortal.

It will be Desmond again, but as the past assassin we play as, who knows? I hope its set in two diffrent periods. One in Japan and one in Egypt.

Ezio, hunny, you've had your spotlight. (hot, sexy spotlight) but let your Descendent, Desmond Miles take the floor!

Thanks dear! xD

The comic gives a tiny hint. It shows an assassin during russian communist rule. There's a small chance you would be reliving his memories if Ubi confirms the comic has something to do with ACIII
