if your a titering fan boy camping infront of gamestop at age 57 there is an issue but at 23 ur still cool.
You're kidding me right!? That's like my entire life plan out the window. I would be known as the old dude outside of gamestop and all would think of me as some sort of creepy ledgend...I'm screwed :(

It's best not to overthink that one...like where money would come from...or where i would live when the police came and carted me away :D

No such age exists. There is no predetermined age where reading a book or watching a movie is lame, why must there be one for video games as well? If you enjoy video games as a form of entertainment, then keep playing.

I honestly see myself enjoying games until it becomes impossible for me to be able to play them.
I play a game almost 3-4 hours daily, if not more.
There's also that term "child at heart" where you could love things you loved as a kid while grown up. Maybe everyone who plays games while being older is such, or maybe catching up for something they could never do as a kid (lack of money/time/etc.) It's a timeless funride with games for me, this is a blessing for me always having something to do in my spare time, but a curse of it ever haunting me to never want to stop. OH WHAT AM I TALKING ABOUT. Kappa

On your deathbed, to the people around you, because they know you won't be able to play anymore.

Little do they know Heaven comes with one bitching entertainment center.

:D

ok here the answer

IT DOSNT EVER GET SAD TO ENJOY THIS MEDIUM

anyone who tells you otherwise is an insecure idiot who is only saying that to validate their own opionion/veiw of themsleves

seriously dont ever let it bother you, if you are comfortable enough with yourself and not insecure then it shouldnt screw them seriously
The topic is subjective and the OP was asking for opinions. Stating yours is fact comes across rather arrogant.
yeah mabye if I was saying that about a game or film

but its really a no-brainer, you should not care if somone (whos probaly thinks they are cool+ never picked up a game) says what you like is sad, ok mabye they can think that if they want but it shoudlnt matter
All your opinion.

You're completely entitled to one and also to voice it. But you cannot claim it is fact. Simple.
while everyting you say is true its being a little nick-picking isnt it?

you would be bettor off spending your energy telling this argument to somone who thinks not liking somthing everyone else does somehow makes their option more valid

This might say more about me than vice versa but:

I find people who don't play games are either old or weird. If I didn't have games, I wouldn't have much to do on Earth...

It becomes sad when you binge game in your mid thirties and have a family to feed.

What I mean is, gaming in itself I don't see as sad at all. Games are fun, and a good way to kill time whilst still keeping you mentally alert and active in an interactive medium.

It only get's sad when you prioritise this over more important things like your family, job, education and personal health and well being. In the video games are in a fictional world, we just have to remember to not blur the lines between the two. If we do,and it begins to take precedence in our lives over the things that do matter, that is when it get's sad, if not unhealthy.

NEVER!

glad to see that most people here agree with that too. I can kinda see it getting odd when you're getting towards 50+ But honestly it just gets more appealing the older you get. I knew this woman on WoW, musta been in her 80's and on i don't know how many meds. Imagine how great it must be to play wow and forget about that for a while? Also i heard that keeping your mind active, especially with puzzles, helps prevent alzheimers. I can only imagine that gameing would be a very good tool to helping prevent alzheimers too. So yeah, you're NEVER too old to pick up a controller!

Wait a second... we have 28 votes for "you're a louser..." I think that 28 people are on the wrong website...

Sure, but that's true at any age, whether you're someone in their thirties showing up dead tired for work because you stayed up to three in the morning playing Dragon Age (well, okay, but it only happened once), or a kid in highschool neglecting their homework so they can play Dragon Age until three in the morning.

And we're all less pathetic than this poor chap:

I am 25 and I love video games, a lot of my friends are also into them but not as much as me. Personally I use them to escape the mundane everyday life and get lost in worlds I otherwise wouldn't be able to, it is just like reading a book or watching a film. I really cant see anytime when I would say that I was too old for them.

Sorry, but the lack of grammar made that post too difficult to understand.

Never. It's our culture of the time. Did old people stop listening to "dance band" and "jazz" music when they got older? I'm almost certain that they did not.

Why is this even a question? Video games aren't toys for children, they are a serious artistic medium of expression and a genuine source of legitimate competition. One is never, ever too old for video games. Ever. No more than one is too old for movies, books, football, or any other sport or storytelling medium.
