Soccer and lacrosse through high school and intramural/club in college. Also avid sea kayaker and will play most sports. Definitely think more gamers are active than the couch potato stereotype.
I played Rugby and American football in High school. I'm in college now and I only play Rugby at the moment and work out on days without practice or games.
Before injuries ruined my ability to play at a highly competitive level, I was a baseball pitcher and a basketball point guard. I was one of the best young pitchers in the state at age 14 (1991) and even after I got hurt I was still a good perimeter defender and assist man on the hardwood, although I couldn't shoot to save my life.
In High School I was a non competative Fencer and did Hurdles, Long Jump and the 100m until my size made me unable to compete (Track is a lot harder when you're 5'5 and everyone else is around 6'0)
I hate watching sports. I can never find satisfaction in seeing people playing a sport. I either get in there or don't watch at all. I apologise for going off on a tangent. I recently picked up basketball again (they fianlly put a basketball hoop at school so I have what to do in the breaks). It's that and some other urban sports as running after a bus/tram, jumping over big puddles, etc. Also, I want to pick up cycling too (casual cycling).
Even though I don't look like it, I'm in pathetically bad shape. I'd be more interested in school sports if they weren't so... savage. The girls' teams at my school especially. *winces* I'm not competetive enough to do sports.
When I was little, exercise came from my weird desire to climb stuff and jump off.
I played baseball, basketball, softball and football in HS, college her ein Puerto Rico, as busy i am irl now i still play some basketball and baseball weekly
