Poll: Bacon: Chewy, or Crunchy?

I prefer it to have plenty of chewy meat, but crispy crunchy edges. Ideally my bacon is all meat and no fat, but when there is fat, I want that part to be crispy...

Chewy is undercooked. Crunchy is overcooked. Any chef with a trace of self respect should know how to avoid both.

Right in between. There are two sides to a good bacon strip. The thinner, more meaty side which should be a bit crispy, and the fattier, sometimes wider side which should be chewier.

So you just eat it raw? I doubt that is healthy but to each their own.

I can't really recall eating bacon that was chewy so I have to go with crispy/crunchy, I prefer my pork chops, steak etc... to be chewy though.

i dont like it crunchy and if the only other option is chewy i guess thats my option. but i wouldnt classify my bacon as chewy or crunchy.

Crunchy all the way. I never liked chewy bacon. I disliked it even more after being slapped in the face by it.

I like the meat chewy and the fat crispy. I also like the whole thing crispy. My GF refuses to eat bacon if it bends when you lift it, so this is the default...

It feels like a loaded answer picking chewy, it implies the bacon is hard to eat. Chrunchy bacon is over-cooked and you lose some of the flavour...

Crunchy. I don't understand how people can eat it chewy with all that fat still on there. Yuck. Oh well, bacon is bacon and taste is the most varied thing out there.

I like the way my dad makes it with the meat chewy and the fat crunchy. It's marvelous. I really need to figure out how to cook it like that.
